Lori Borchers

Job Titles:
  • Legal Assistant
Lori may have worked 18 years in the legal field, but she's also an accomplished artist. She attended American River College in Sacramento with a focus on color theory, as well as oil and acrylic painting. She has won two best of show awards in art competitions, and she has taught acrylic pour art classes in studios and private homes. Her artistry translates to her Halloween decorations, too, which are the envy of her neighborhood. Lori is also an outdoorsy type. She has completed a 100-mile bike ride and likes to go camping. Her most memorable travel experience was horseback riding on a beach in Mexico. Riding the horse at full speed across the sandy beach followed by a bare back swim in the sea. She says the feeling of gliding through the water was very peaceful and relaxing. Besides beaches, Lori loves to spend time exploring the forest. If she can combine a visit to a beach with a visit to a forest in a single trip, it's her idea of a perfect vacation. People around the office say that Lori is friendly, fun, and easy to get along with. She loves to take good care of our clients, keeping the process quick and efficient, as she works to make sure they're always aware of what's happening with their planning.

Matthew S. Crider

Job Titles:
  • Attorney
  • Estate Planning Attorney
Matthew Crider grew up in Texas but moved to California because he didn't feel he was paying enough in taxes. OK, it was also because his wife, a California native, refused to move to Texas. But Matthew brought his Texas gentility with him to Cali, as people often say to him, "You're too nice to be a lawyer!" Matthew has distinguished himself in the field of law in both Texas and California, where he's licensed to practice. When he had a case go to the U.S. Supreme Court, it was rescheduled because another matter was deemed slightly more pressing - Bush v. Gore. Go figure! (The Crider name goes a long way, but it isn't quite as powerful as the names Bush or Gore.)
