Dr. Jason R. Lupton has been in private practice in the San Diego area since 2002. He practiced in La Jolla and Del Mar prior to opening his own practice in Carmel Valley in early 2009. Dr. Lupton's clinical expertise includes all aspects of laser surgery and aesthetic dermatology. He has authored more than 40 articles, book chapters, and reviews within the peer-reviewed literature. He has lectured extensively across the United States and Europe on laser surgical techniques as well as routinely instructed other physicians in the newest laser trends. In addition, Dr. Lupton has lectured at many of the major dermatology meetings in the US including the annual American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Lupton is also a member of the Editorial Board of Advisers for Radiant Life Magazine and a Luminary Board Member for Alma Lasers. Dr. Lupton's clinical expertise is regularly sought by major media outlets. He is often quoted in national and local magazines, newspapers, and periodicals. He has been featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, the New York Times, Woman's World Magazine, All You Magazine, Weight Watchers Magazine, Community Health Magazine, the Orange County Business Journal, Spa Magazine, Radius Magazine, Dermatology World and on iParenting.com. Dr. Lupton was born in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and completed his undergraduate and medical training at Georgetown University. He completed a one-year internal medicine internship at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, CA, and completed his dermatology training and chief residency at the George Washington University Medical Center and the Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Lupton subsequently completed a highly competitive and coveted one-year laser surgery fellowship at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. His involvement in research studies and clinical trials helped establish him early on as a recognized leader in cosmetic dermatologic surgery. He is one of the few fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologists in southern California. Dr. Lupton's clinical expertise and training are quite extensive and include specialization in general medical and surgical dermatology, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as BotoxCosmetic, soft tissue fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane and Radiesse. He also has expertise in a large variety of laser devices for brown spot and pigmented lesion removal, skin tightening, laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, blood vessel treatment, and laser skin rejuvenation. Dr. Lupton lives in La Jolla with his wife, daughter and son and enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with his family.

Kelly Knight, R.N. is a licensed registered nurse who has been practicing in the San Diego area since 2017. Kelly originally practiced law, but made the decision to switch to the medical field where she much prefers treating patients with compassion, care and attention to detail.

Shawn McDonald (formerly Shawn Lisa Collins) is a licensed esthetician with the State Board of California since 1986. She has been caring for others with touch for over 30 years. In the early 1990's Shawn became a pioneer in the field of medical esthetics working with a team of elite plastic surgeons in Los Angeles. Shawn was fortunate enough to receive many hours of one-on-one training from Christina Carlino, the co-founder of Biomedic and the Micropeel. This training allowed Shawn to develop her expertise in dermaplaning, also known as epidermal leveling. Shawn has continued to work on the forefront as a medical esthetician and has expanded her treatment repertoire to include micro-pigmentation, medical grade chemical peels, and post-surgical camouflage make-up. This is just a few areas in which Shawn excels. Over her career Shawn also worked as an educator for a premier medical skincare line. In her role as educator she taught dermaplaning, peel application, and skin care theory to both nurses and other medical estheticians. Although her technical training has been focused on medical skin care, Shawn has remained passionate at providing a spa like experience. She deeply believes that skin care is not just about the results, but the way in which those results are achieved.
