DISTINCTIVE WOOD CREATIONS - Key Persons
Owner, Kurt Nachreiner, attended The University of Wisconsin Platteville and in 1985 earned a degree in Industrial Education. Upon graduation, the decision was made to pursue a professional career in woodworking. Having spent over 10 years honing his skills at a local cabinet shop, in 1996 Nachreiner launched Distinctive Wood Creations which exists today as a premier woodworking company.
In 2015, Sam began his career in the trades as a welder/fabricator in the Madison area. In his spare time, he began building metal and wood furniture, which sparked his passion for woodworking. By 2017, Sam made the transition from welding to cabinetry and furniture at Distinctive Wood Creations, which allowed him to pursue both woodworking and metal fabrication full time. "The greatest joy as a craftsman is being able to build and create with my hands. The process of seeing custom, hand-drawn projects go from drawing to completion is exciting."
