Chantel Fitting graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelors of Arts degree. She continued her education at Hastings College of the Law where she received a Juris Doctorate degree in 1999.
Chantel has been a litigation attorney for over fifteen years with a specialty in bodily injury cases. She is recognized as an expert in evaluating serious medical injuries related to catastrophic claims such as brain and spine injuries and presenting that evidence to the jury. Ms. Fitting has a remarkable record of successful jury trials in which her clients have recovered millions of dollars for their injuries. Ms. Fitting recently tried a case before a San Mateo jury in which the insurance company offered $20,000.00 and the jury awarded $974,628.00 to her clients. More recently, a jury rendered a verdict of $500,000.00 to her client when the insurance company offered only $100,000.00. She fights for her clients and is not deterred by the unreasonable conduct of large insurance companies. Ms. Fitting's success and expertise are recognized by her peers. She is a frequent speaker at legal seminars on recent developments and trends in the law and trial techniques that are essential to achieving favorable outcomes for the clients.
Chantel is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, and serves on the Board of Directors, and was former President for the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association. Christina Peterson has been with the firm for over a decade serving as the firm's senior paralegal and case manager. Ms. Peterson joined the Law Offices of John N. Frye in 2005 and in 2010, when Galine, Frye, & Fitting was founded, Ms. Peterson took on an integral role in the transition. She is an experienced civil litigation paralegal, having handled cases through pre-litigation and trial, while at all times maintaining a kind, positive, and friendly attitude. Currently, Ms. Peterson provides administrative support to all of the attorneys and staff in the firm and works closely with clients, insurance companies, defense counsel and the Courts. In addition, Ms. Peterson coordinates the firm's master calendar and specializes in heavily litigated cases up to and including trial.
Ms. Peterson grew up in San Diego and graduated from San Jose State University with a double major in Administrative Justice and Sociology. Throughout her college career, Ms. Peterson played NCAA, Division I, Volleyball and earned all WAC honors as well as athletic academic honors. Her interests outside of our office include spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling, hiking, listening to and playing music as well as spending time with family and friends.
