Adam Apt

Mr. Apt has more than twenty years of experience in investment management. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1986, and he is a holder of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.

Alexander Krueger

Alex joined C.C. Dunnavan as an Investment Analyst intern while working on an Applied Economics degree from the University of Minnesota. Alex returned to the U to earn an M.S. in Finance from the Carlson School of Management, where he graduated among the top of his class. Alex loves hiking, camping, hockey, and snowboarding.

Christopher R. Dougall - President

Job Titles:
  • President
An investment analyst and portfolio manager since 1981, Christopher is the firm's President and the head of the Investment Committee. He earned a Phi Beta Kappa key as an undergraduate at Harvard and received an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago. His English Bulldogs have served as our mascots.

Don Johnson

Prior to joining C.C. Dunnavan & Co., Don was the owner and President of Capital Formation Strategies, a St. Paul based Investment Advisory Firm. Don served as President of Capital Formation Strategies from its founding in 1986. Don holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of St. Thomas. He currently serves as Sr. Portfolio Manager and Consultant for C.C. Dunnavan

Helena Dougall

Helena was educated at Minnehaha Academy and Augsburg College, where she received a BA. Prior to joining Dunnavan in 2014, she worked in the field of psychology at St. David's Center, aiding children with special needs. Her primary responsibilities include client correspondence, assistance in portfolio management, maintaining the firm's database, collaborating on the design and preparation of proposals, client correspondence, stock analysis, and execution of trades. In her free time, Helena likes to spend time with her daughter and volunteer at Dress for Success and Second Harvest.

Kimberly Hernendez

Job Titles:
  • Business Manager
Kimberly received a BS degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, majoring in Business and Marketing Education. She has been at Dunnavan since 2020 working as a business administrator. Some of her roles involve supporting other team members with daily tasks and assisting clients with administrative requests. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks/runs and spending time with her family.

Lloyd Hudson

Job Titles:

Lloyd graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1988 with a degree in political science. He worked for Piper Jaffray from 1988 to 1995, and Piper Capital Management from 1995 until 1998, when he started with Dunnavan. Lloyd is also the Chief Compliance Officer.

Tom Larson - VP

Tom has been a financial advisor since 2010. Tom joined CC Dunnavan in 2019 after developing his own financial services practice at Thrivent Financial. At CC Dunnavan, Tom spends most of his time meeting with clients and leading them through a financial planning process that helps prepare them for a secure future. Whether it be discussions around goal planning, investments, or cash flow management, Tom enjoys getting to know his clients and then developing a financial plan and investment strategy to meet their values and future goals. Prior to his career in financial services, Tom served in college admissions and financial aid and is considered a content expert on education planning and college funding strategies. Tom's passion is helping clients connect their life values with their finances. He believes when life goals and values are in alignment with investment decisions and financial behaviors clients will be on the right path for their future. Tom has a BA from Hamline University and an MA from Augsburg University. Tom is a volunteer at his church (Woodbury Lutheran) and coaches many youth sports teams in his community. Tom has also volunteered his time speaking on financial planning to many groups and was recognized as a Volunteer of the Year by Best Prep for his work with high school students and financial literacy.
