EMKEY LAW FIRM - Key Persons
Daniel P. Emkey was born and raised in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He attended Holy Name High School, then went on to study Criminal Justice at Alvernia College. During his time at college, he was part of Alpha Phi Sigma (the National Criminal Justice Honor Society), became an All-American Scholar, and was the president of the St. Thomas More Honor Society. After graduation, Daniel went on to study law at Widener University School of Law, where he participated in the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program, was a member of the Harrisburg Civil Law Clinic, and earned his Juris Doctor.
Passionate About His Work
Attorney Emkey has always had a fierce passion for justice and litigation, and decided to pursue a career in criminal law. He began at the Berks County District Attorney's office, where he served as the Assistant District Attorney. During this time, he focused his effort on prosecuting major cases in the courtroom, handling virtually hundreds of cases. Working with matters of felony gun and drug cases, rape, child sexual abuse, aggravated assault and burglary. During this time, he garnered a reputation for being not only singularly skilled and aggressive, but also highly compassionate.

Emily Mowrer is Emkey Law Firm's Legal Assistant and Office Manager. She was born and raised in Berks County. Emily graduated from Conrad Weiser High School and earned her associate's degree in fashion and retail merchandising. Emily has always had a passion for helping others. While attending school for her associate's degree, Emily became interested in the law. With her sudden interest in law coupled with her passion to help others, Emily decided to join Emkey Law Firm as a receptionist. She quickly worked her way up to the Firm's Legal Assistant and, more recently, Office Manager. She has a way of making everyone feel welcome and always goes above and beyond to make everyone's experience as pleasurable as possible. She also prides herself on answering every phone call and returning all emails promptly.
