The address by the President of the Republic of Mauritius on the occasion of the launching of Essar Energy PLC in August 2010 acknowledges Essar's extensive presence in Mauritius. In addition to its presence in the Textile and Financial Services sectors, Essar is considering participating in Competitive Bids in the following sectors in Mauritius: (1) Power; (2) Ports and (3) Infrastructure. It can bring to bear its impeccable track record and expertise in these sectors and thus contribute to the growth of the Mauritius economy...
