F.K. Warren was established by the Warren Family of Halifax in 1896. For many years, the company operated sailing vessels trading between Nova Scotia and the West Indies and chartered vessels carrying apples and lumber to the UK. During the 1930s, the Interprovincial Steamship Company, a subsidiary of F.K. Warren, traded between Halifax, Saint John, St. Lawrence River Ports, and the Great Lakes. After WWII, the company concentrated on providing quality ship agency services for ports in Atlantic Canada... We serve Canso, Lunenburg, Pictou, and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia; Belledune and Dalhousie, New Brunswick; Summerside and Georgetown, PEI; Gaspé and Sept-Iles, Québec; and Saint Anthony, Newfoundland-just to name a few... Our agency attends to a high volume of vessels every year, including tankers, cruise ships, container vessels, break-bulk and bulk ships, heavy lift vessels, and other specialized carriers.
