Daniel Peters is no longer a member of Genesis. Mr. Peters has relocated his practice to Puyallup, where his parents reside. We at Genesis sincerely wish him and his family the best.
David Goodwin focuses his practice in divorce and family law. He earned his undergraduate degree from BYU in 2000. The school awarded him academic-based merit scholarships each of his final two years there, and he graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 3.82 out of a possible 4.0, placing him in the top 10% of his college's class. In 2003 he received his law degree from Seattle University cum laude. Cum laude is a latin term meaning "with distinction". While in law school he earned two scholarships.
Mr. Goodwin enjoys mountain climbing and cycling and is heavily involved in his church community and Boy Scouts.
Erika Vranizan focuses on family law.
She earned her law degree from Seattle University School of Law cum laude�a Latin phrase meaning �with honors�. She became lead article editor of the school's law review, a highly competitive achievement; and won the school's moot court In-House Appellate Competition.
Since 2015 Erika has worked and volunteered in Washington's legal system in various capacities, such as with a judge and intermittently representing clients in court under Rule 9 for several years prior to her law school graduation.
Her scholarly work addressing Washington�s juvenile laws has been scheduled for publication, another rare achievement.
Outside of the office, Erika keeps busy spending time with her family and friends and enjoying the great outdoors. She also volunteers with the KC Howard Guild of Children�s Hospital and the Junior League of Seattle.

Sean Hyde focuses on divorce and family law and has significant credentials related to the procurement of and recovery of electronic evidence.
He earned his law degree from the University of Washington, the most selective and highest ranking law school in the Pacific Northwest. While there he served as Chief Managing Editor of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts; participated in the UW Tech Policy Lab; and wrote a journal article entitled Local Surveillance Laws: An Early Look at Success and Shortcomings.
Mr. Hyde received his undergraduate degree cum laude (with honors) from Central Washington University. He majored in applied science and information technology and obtained an AA in computer information systems.
Prior to his current career track he served in the United States Marine Corps and obtained certifications as a Digital Forensics Examiner and Data Recovery Expert.
