We are the producer of peat moss, substrates, planter pots and Easypot. The HAWITA Group is a globally operating company with more than 400 employees at present, eight production sites and more than 4,500 ha of moor area in Germany and Baltic States... The HAWITA Group provides financial and practical help in land restoration. Drainage ditches are, for example, created to ensure that rain water remains on the land. Vegetation after peat extraction begins with areas of raised and quaking bog. Narrow-leaved cotton grass and peat moss, in particular, are the first plants to take root on restored areas. In addition, rehydrated sites are also ideal places for birds to rest... Our »HAWITA Flor« pressed pot soils are produced in Sauensiek, not far from the Elbe Estuary in the south of the Stade district. The Ahrens facility was built in 1920 and, also here, we have our own peat deposit from which we get the best soils for discerning plant lovers and professionals.
