KING INSURANCE - Key Persons

Chad King

A Gainesville native, Chad attended Oak Hall High School, where he played basketball. He was one of 25 players in the state nominated for Florida Mr. Basketball. He also played baseball, and was drafted to play professionally by the Cincinnati Reds. Rather than pursue professional baseball, Chad elected to attend the University of Kansas on a baseball scholarship. He was two-time team captain of his alma mater's baseball team. After earning a B.A. in Business from the University of Kansas in 1999, Chad moved to Jacksonville, where he earned his MBA from the University of North Florida while working at Merrill Lynch. In 2002, he was offered a position at Lehman Brothers in Los Angeles and spent six years there. In 2008, Chad returned to Gainesville. Today, he owns and oversees King Insurance Partners, the agency his father founded. He enjoys his time off with his daughter and two sons.
