Ken Tisdel - CEO, Founder

Ken is the CEO of LCG and has over twenty-five years of technical, forensic and specialty investigation, eighteen of which were specifically in the field of computer forensic investigations and electronic discovery. Ken formed LCG on the foundation that it is the role of the expert to protect the Client during times of uncertainty by finding the right answers and guiding them to the best possible outcome. Ken also handles every client matter with this approach, so that every known risk has been exposed and no question is left unanswered. Following his military service as an Air Force KC-135 Combat Crew Member and his service in theater during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Ken worked full-time as a Certified Police Officer and Detective for over ten years. During the last six years of his law enforcement tenure, Ken was assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the Vermont Internet Crimes Task Force (VTICTF). He also worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security, investigating computer/internet based crimes as well as investigations related to anti-terrorism, post 9-11. Ken has performed and managed complex computer forensic investigations in the United States and Internationally and has provided expert opinion and testimony on a broad range of matters including insurance and catastrophic events, FCPA investigations, SEC and DOJ investigations, asset forfeiture and RICO matters, employment agreement violations, trade secret misappropriations, high net worth family disputes and matters for professional athletes within the NFL.

Kris Carlson - President

Kris is currently the president of LCG, LLC and has over 24 years of experience in civil and criminal investigations, digital forensics and high-tech computer and Internet investigations. He was a certified law enforcement officer for 15 years, during which he served in the capacities of computer forensic examiner, high-tech crimes investigator, Detective (multiple ranks) and high-ranking supervisory positions. Kris has received hundreds of hours of training in technical investigations including digital forensics, wireless and peer-to-peer networks, digital devices and evidence, online undercover operations and high-tech crimes unit supervisor training. As Detective and Director of the County Special Victims Unit for 10 years and a member of the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (VT-ICAC) for 13 years, Kris worked closely with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, county and state level prosecutors and the United States Attorney's Office. Kris also served as Commander of the VT-ICAC for over 6 years where he was responsible for full operational oversight of the statewide task force including digital forensics, investigations, training and public outreach. Kris has been involved in over 1000 specialized, civil and felony level criminal investigations as an investigator, forensic examiner and/or supervisor, including many involving digital forensics/evidence. Kris has extensive testimony experience having provided sworn testimony and/or documentation in well over 100 criminal and civil matters combined in both State and Federal Courts in the form of affidavits, hearings, depositions, grand juries, trials and has also testified before the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary in Washington DC. Kris's efforts have resulted in the drafting of hundreds of complex written reports, sworn affidavits, search warrants and subpoenas, and he has been recognized as an expert in high-tech criminal investigations for which he has provided a substantial number of national level presentations and trainings to law enforcement and prosecutors. Kris served as an adjunct professor in the subjects of Digital Forensics and Criminal Procedure at the college level and was a certified instructor for the Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council, instructing law enforcement in criminal law and complex felony and/or technical criminal investigations for over a decade.

Matt Cooper

Matt has over twenty (20) years of investigative experience in the public sector which includes over 12 years of as a sworn law enforcement officer responsible for leading and managing high profile felony criminal investigations, as well as conducting major civil investigations. During his law enforcement tenure, Matt served as a Deputy Sheriff for twelve (12) years where he supervised and investigated hundreds of felony level criminal offenses including homicide, negligent death, theft and sexual assaults. Additionally, Matt spent seven (7) years conducting and supervising felony child abuse and sexual assault investigations, is a Certified Death Investigator and is certified at the National Child Advocacy Center. In addition to his time as a sworn Deputy, Matt served eleven (11) years as an Investigator with the State of Missouri, including nearly five (5) years with the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, four (4) years with the Board of Healing Arts, and over three (3) years with Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance. During his tenure as a state Investigator, Matt was responsible for the investigation of high-level fraud and white-collar offenses, including the investigation of health care professionals and offenses at hospitals, pharmacies and health care facilities. These investigations were both criminal and civil (regulatory,) and included drug diversion, hundreds of controlled substance audits, impaired physicians or practitioners, medical malpractice, theft, sexual assault and fraud. These investigations led to state and federal criminal charges/convictions as well as civil and regulatory penalties. Throughout his service as sworn law enforcement and as a regulatory investigator, Matt worked with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, state and local prosecutors' offices, the United States Attorney's office, and numerous state and federal regulatory agencies. As a result, he gained extensive testimony experience in both civil and criminal proceedings, including administrative hearings, depositions, grand juries and criminal trials. Most recently Matt has served as an Investigator within the Corporate Investigations service area of LCG. During that time frame he has participated in a number of complex investigations for numerous large corporations involving complicated matters such as fraud, theft of services, and bribery. While with LCG, Matt has served as investigative consultant to his corporate contacts as well as internal and outside counsel, assisting them through investigative findings, investigative oversight/guidance and litigation strategy. Prior to his law enforcement/investigative career, Matt possessed a Top-Secret security clearance and served in the United States Air Force as a flight crew member.

Robert Stacy

Robb is the Senior Manager of Forensic Investigations at LCG where he provides leadership in day-to-day operations by working with staff and executive personnel. He is directly responsible for the overall management of highly technical and complex projects, conducting and supervising all levels of forensic analyses, and managing the LCG digital forensics laboratory. He has 28 years of Information Technology (IT) & cyber security experience, 16 years of which include training and experience in all levels of digital forensic analyses. Robb has spent 22 years supporting the United States Department of Defense/Military (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC) in various roles including as a digital forensic examiner responsible for the management of the forensic workflow process from the battlefield to final intelligence reporting. During his time in the IC, he had six deployments to US Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR) combat zones resulting in four years in the field where he directly supported combat and intelligence operations. While working for the Department of Defense (DoD), during this 11-year period he worked on over 2000 highly technical/confidential investigations that consisted of forensic analyses of all varieties of digital evidence sources in matters including counterterrorism and criminal cases. These cases ranged from complex document forgery and money laundering to international kidnapping and murder that required direct and extensive interagency collaboration with numerous government agencies within the IC. Throughout his tenure in the IC, Robb worked on as well as oversaw the examination and reporting of several high-profile cases. Robb's responsibilities at DoD went well beyond digital forensic analyses and included the design and oversight of the building of new forensic tools used by the U.S. Government in service of National Security goals and requirements. This work resulted in the presentation of a DoD Value Engineering Award for a new forensic tool and concept. Robb was also responsible for the training/education of new and seasoned forensic analysts including the design and implementation of training/educational courses that remain in use today. Courses included those for intelligence topics and critical thinking as well as the exploitation of digital media for various combatant commands resulting in thousands of graduates over the last ten years. After his service in government, Robb worked in the United Arab Emirates as a senior instructor for three (3) years at a Cyber Security Academy where he designed and taught courses in digital forensics, operating systems fundamentals, open-source intelligence, critical thinking and intelligence analysis. Further, Robb holds numerous digital forensics and information technology/cybersecurity certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), an independent information security certification granted by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (held since 2003), and the Computer Incident Response and Handling (GCIH Certification) provided by the SANS institute.
