LIEBAU-LAUN

Liebau-Laun Well and Pump Co. was founded by Arthur J. Liebau's great uncle Sellman who had a grist mill until 1888, when he then started drilling wells. Shortly after, Arthur Liebau Sr. took over the business and located it in Mequon in 1905, partnering with his brother-in-law Herb Laun. Upon Arthur Liebau Sr.'s passing in 1958, Arthur Liebau Jr. at the age of 25 took over the business and innovated in rotary well drilling and residential and commercial pump installations. In 1977, a shift toward well pump service and repair work began. Arthur Liebau Jr.'s son, Arthur J. Liebau began working as a helping hand to his father at the age of 12. Now 38 years later, Arthur J. Liebau is owner and operator of Liebau-Laun Well and Pump, Inc. and has remained at the same location in Mequon for over a century.
