The Municipal Assessment Agency provides professional, independent property assessments throughout Newfoundland and Labrador in accordance with the Assessment Act, 2006. We are a not-for-profit entity. Returns are used only to further our activities on behalf of our clients... Every year we generate property information that is used by municipalities, property owners, and other stakeholders. We provide annual assessments to all municipalities in Newfoundland and Labrador, except for the City of St. John's, which provides its own assessment service. Other major activities include distribution of assessment notices to property owners and administration of the property assessment appeal process.
