Members in the electrical industry started the MES Range of Switches & Sockets in 2007 to meet the demand for high-quality and affordable products... In 2019, Royd Brandon, the sole owner of the MES brand, engaged in acquisition discussions with Pupkewitz Megatech in Namibia which concluded in March 2020 with Pupkewitz Megatech acquiring the majority shareholding in the MES brand. Following the acquisition, MES Products rebranded to become Pupkewitz Megatech Electrical Supplies (Pty) Ltd and began trading under the new name Pupkewitz MES in October 2020.
