Dr. Saltz founded Mental Health Advocates in 1992 and serves as Its President and Owner / Medical Director. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, the MHA Team provides clinical, educational, independent medical examinations, and research services in the fields of psychiatry (psychopharmacology), psychology, and geropsychology (psychotherapy and neuropsychology). Dr. Saltz is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and in Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Angelica Almazan

Dr. Angelica Almazan received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She earned a medical degree from Des Moines University, Iowa, and is currently serving as Chief Resident for the HCA Healthcare Woodmont Residency Training Program in Tamarac, Florida. She is a member of the Florida Psychiatric Society and the American Psychiatric Association. She utilizes a supportive, holistic, individualized approach to treatment, rooted in evidence-based medicine. She embraces diversity and inclusivity, with a passion in serving the LGBTQ+ community. She has experience in treating a wide array of conditions including anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, thought disorders, neurocognitive behavioral disorders and many others. The Latin origin of "Psychiatry" translates to "healing of the soul." Dr. Almazan aspires to illuminate one's extraordinary gifts and talents in pursuit of healing, purpose, and self-reclamation. In addition to her clinical experience, she aims to empower clients / patients with practical knowledge of their condition(s). She has educated mental health professionals, psychiatry residents, medical students, and law enforcement professionals on identifying mental illness, crisis planning, chronic suicidality, inpatient treatment, psychpharmacology and mental health advocacy.
