Biography Alexandra Mazzeo is an associate attorney at Montgomery Little & Soran. Ms. Mazzeo has worked in the legal field since 2009. She has experience in various areas of the law including personal injury, criminal defense, domestic relations, and civil litigation. Currently, her practice focuses on family law which includes pre and post decree dissolution of marriage, pre and post decree allocation of parental responsibilities, adoption, grandparent visitation, paternity, relocation, litigation, mediation, contempt, restraining orders, termination of parental rights, name change, reconciliation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, separation agreements, parenting plans, modification of domestic relations and juvenile court orders, enforcement of domestic relations and juvenile court orders, registration of foreign decrees, and common law marriage. Ms. Mazzeo received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where she was a student attorney with the criminal defense clinic, representing individuals charged with misdemeanors and municipal ordinance violations. Alyson Shute Evett

Alyson Shute Evett is an attorney with Montgomery Little & Soran. Her practice is focused on civil litigation with an emphasis on real estate litigation and corporate/business law. From time to time, Ms. Evett also assists with family law and criminal law matters. Prior to working at the firm, Ms. Evett served as a deputy district attorney at the First Judicial District Attorney's Office. During her three years as a prosecutor, Ms. Evett honed her advocacy skills by handling a variety of cases ranging from traffic offenses and misdemeanors all the way up to the most serious felony cases, including first degree murder. In addition to trying over forty jury trials, Ms. Evett negotiated countless others to reach a fair and just resolution. She hopes to put all of these skills to work to achieve the best result for each and every client. Ms. Evett graduated from Vermont Law School in 2018. During her time in law school, she also took steps to improve her advocacy skills, earning a position on the Moot Court team. Ms. Evett interned with the Washington County State's Attorney's Office, the Civil Rights Unit at the Attorney Generals office, the South Royalton Legal Clinic, and the Denver District Attorney's Office while in law school. Christopher A. Taravella - Shareholder

Christopher A. Taravella is a Shareholder with Montgomery Little & Soran. Mr. Taravella was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, and is currently admitted to the Bars of Colorado and Wyoming. Since December 1983, he has been licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Before joining Montgomery Little & Soran, he was a judge advocate (JAG) in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years. While on active duty, Mr. Taravella served as an Air Force prosecutor, having more than one hundred trials. He was designated a Special Assistant United States Attorney for civil litigation as the Chief of the Constitutional Torts Branch of The Judge Advocate General's Office in Washington, D.C. In the Air Force Reserves, Mr. Taravella was the Staff Judge Advocate of an airlift and refueling wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. His tours of duty include Special Operations at Hurlburt Field, Florida, a tactical fighter training wing in Zaragoza, Spain, and the Pentagon in Virginia. Mr. Taravella left active duty with the Air Force to join Chrysler Corporation in 1985, where he was the Litigation Department head under Lee Iacocca. He has extensive experience with commercial and employment litigation, including class actions. He was Chrysler's Chief Patent Counsel for seven years and was responsible for all intellectual property transactional and litigation matters, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secrets. As such, he was responsible for the defense of the intermittent windshield wiper patent infringement litigation filed by Robert Kearns against the auto industry and the bar code/synthetic voice/machine vision patent infringement litigation filed by Jerome Lemelson against the auto and other industries. He was also responsible for all of Chrysler's commercial contracts. Mr. Taravella became the General Counsel of Chrysler Financial Corporation in 1997 and then of the merged Chrysler Financial/Mercedes-Benz Credit unit. He held this position for nine years. He was responsible for the legal, audit, and process management activities of the $95 billion in receivables captive finance unit. This responsibility included sales finance licensing, corporate matters, the defense of class action, lender liability, contract, and employment litigation, the formation of a Utah Industrial Loan Corporation, securities and funding matters, securitization of receivables, and retail and wholesale auto financing. After joining Montgomery Little & Soran, Mr. Taravella has been lead counsel in seven preliminary injunction hearings in both state and federal court and has tried several bench and jury matters to conclusion. In April 2013, he won a preliminary injunction in a trademark matter for a Denver-based client in a San Antonio, Texas Federal District Court. Mr. Taravella is actively involved in various community affairs and philanthropic activities. He served on U.S. Senator Mark E. Udall's Service Academies Merit Selection Panel (2010, 2013, 2014) and U.S. Senator Michael Bennet's Service Academies Merit Selection Panel (2017), is a regular soup server at the St. Francis Center, 2323 Curtis Street in Denver (since 2008), and is an Executive Committee Member for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, 2111 Champa Street, also in Denver (since 2010). He has also served as a guest faculty member for the Law and Management Departments at the U. S. Air Force Academy (since 2006), and J.J. Strossmayer University Faculty of Law, Osijek, Croatia (March 2013). Mr. Taravella spoke at the Center for International Studies Employment and Business Immigration Conference in Salzburg, Austria (June 2011). He has also represented several veterans (and their widows) in a pro bono capacity, including matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans' Claims, the Veterans' Administration, and the Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records. Connie Streich

Connie Streich works with the real estate team at Montgomery Little & Soran and specializes in the areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions and real estate litigation. Ms. Streich began her career in real estate by working for title insurance companies in several capacities including title searches, title examinations, and conducting real estate closings. Her experience in the title insurance industry led to her work as a real estate paralegal for commercial real estate attorneys in Frisco, Colorado and later in the Denver area. Ms. Streich joined Montgomery Little & Soran in 2012 as a paralegal, where she assists our real estate attorneys with commercial and residential real estate closings, property boundary and easement issues, resolution of title company insurance claims, and real estate litigation. She primarily assists attorneys Nate Osborn and Trey Eckloff.

Danielle Loth

Danielle Loth is an attorney with Montgomery, Little, & Soran, licensed to practice in Colorado. Her work primarily focuses on domestic relations and criminal law, and litigation. Ms. Loth attended law school at the University of Denver, where she took advantage of the school's many experiential learning opportunities and completed five separate internships. She first started working with the firm as an intern during a summer semester and returned to the firm again during her last year of law school. During these semesters, she performed work with attorneys throughout the firm on matters ranging from divorce and dissolution, to contract defect defense, and matters related to professional liability. She also completed internships with a local law firm, the University of Denver's Office of General counsel, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. After graduating law school in 2021, Ms. Loth served as a judicial law clerk for the 20th Judicial District Court in Boulder, Colorado. There, she acted as a pooled law clerk for all judicial officers in the district, and was exposed to domestic relations, criminal, and civil matters. She primarily worked for the Honorable Norma A. Sierra, on a criminal law docket and assisted in research and writing on motions, clerked jury trials, and attended regular dockets and sentencing hearings. Ms. Loth is passionate about the legal field, and the great impact it can have on a person's life. She looks forward to put her experiences and skills in writing, researching, and advocating to use to achieve client goals and make their lives easier. While she is a native Wisconsinite, who attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate degrees in English and Political Science (Go Badgers), she has been proud to call Colorado her home since 2018. When she is not at the office, Ms. Loth enjoys spending time in the colorful Colorado outdoors. When she is inside, she still enjoys traditional Wisconsin pastimes, such as cribbage, and cheering on all of her home-state's sport teams.

Mr. Soran heads the commercial law department where he concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate transactions, development, and leasing. He is a member of the Corporation, Banking and Business Law Section and the Real Estate and Titles Section of the Colorado Bar Association. Over the past four decades, Mr. Soran has represented shopping center developers, big box retailers like Dillon Companies, Inc. d/b/a King Soopers, apartment developers and owners, office building owners and tenants, not to mention sport celebrities and high profile corporate officers in real estate matters. Mr. Soran served as a hearing officer for the City and County of Denver Board of Equalization for property assessment appeals in 1987 and 1988. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and served on the Governmental Affairs Committee of that organization in Colorado in 1987 and 1988. As a part of the ICSC Law Conference, Mr. Soran has been a roundtable presenter on issues surrounding supermarkets as anchor tenants (1995) and exclusive use covenants for modern grocers (1996). Jason Kennedy focuses his practice on complex civil litigation. As a trial and appellate advocate, Mr. Kennedy works to resolve commercial disputes, particularly disputes related to construction defects, software licenses, landlord-tenant matters, and employment relationships. Mr. Kennedy also assists construction and software companies in contract negotiations and drafting, bringing a keen eye for detail to complex terms. In a unique area of practice, Mr. Kennedy is also a leading attorney regarding the government's obligations to cadets and midshipman in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Indeed, he became the first attorney to compel, in court, the United States to pay scholarship benefits to a student who was irregularly disenrolled, after obtaining a published opinion from U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. While at Vanderbilt University Law School, Mr. Kennedy served the Honorable Karon O. John Riley practices in general litigation matters with an emphasis on construction, engineer, architect, and auto accident claims. Leona Franklin

Leona Franklin received her degree in Individualized Studies with an emphasis on Legal Studies and Family Services from the Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2002, graduating magna cum laude. She earned her Paralegal Certification from Community College of Denver in December of 1994, graduating with honors (President's List). Ms. Franklin also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. Ms. Franklin began working in the legal profession in 1993 and has acquired extensive experience working in family law. Serena L. Hendon - Shareholder

Ms. Hendon joined Montgomery Little & Soran as an attorney in 2019. Her practice includes issues related to construction, professional liability, and commercial litigation. She is well-versed in complex construction defect litigation and has represented homeowners, owners, engineers, architects, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors in cases involving construction on residential, commercial, and governmental sites. As such, she also performs contract drafting and review for both homeowners and commercial entities in an effort to curtail liability and provide for remedies in case of a contract breach. In addition, Ms. Hendon has represented and aided engineers and architects with regard to state board complaints. Ms. Hendon has successfully advocated for clients in convoluted cases and matters involving contracts of multiple commercial and governmental entities. Ms. Hendon brings a unique understanding to her design and construction cases as prior to becoming an attorney, she worked for almost two decades as a civil engineer. She remains a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado. Having been an active participant as an engineer on projects from the initial site design phase all the way through construction, she knows firsthand the issues that challenge parties throughout the design and construction of a project. Steve Nagy is Shareholder at Montgomery Little & Soran. He represents clients in a wide range of real estate matters including transactions and litigation. He regularly assists clients in transactions, leasing, eminent domain, access and boundary conflicts, title disputes, breach of contract claims, development matters, and natural resource issues. Mr. Nagy prides himself on understanding each client's unique business and personal goals and developing the most efficient strategies to help achieve them. Mr. Nagy has over a decade of private sector experience. Before joining Montgomery Little & Soran, Mr. Nagy was a partner at a boutique Denver law firm specializing in eminent domain and condemnation litigation and commercial transactions. Previously, he worked at a law firm specializing in oil and gas leasing, title, and permitting issues. Mr. Nagy began his legal career in the public sector as a Colorado Assistant Attorney General representing agencies in the Department of Natural Resources. He also served as a transactional attorney for the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund (GOCO), where he handled over sixty lottery-funded property acquisitions of urban parkland, trails, agricultural conservation easements, and water rights. Mr. Nagy is a member of the Colorado Bar Association Real Estate Section Executive Council, where he serves on the Continuing Legal Education Committee (chair), Publications Committee, and Community Service Committee. Mr. Nagy also serves on legislative task forces responsible for reviewing bills related to eminent domain, landlord/tenant matters, natural resources, and record title. Mr. Nagy is an avid fly fisherman who enjoys camping and spending time on the water with his wife, children, and dogs. He volunteers with The Mayfly Project, a nonprofit organization that mentors children in foster care through fly fishing.

Trey Eckloff - Shareholder

Biography Trey Eckloff is a shareholder with Montgomery Little & Soran. His practice is focused on civil litigation with an emphasis on the construction industry, professional liability, real estate litigation, and corporate/business law. He also is undertaking the role of serving as counsel for underwriters in connection with various municipal bond transactions. Mr. Eckloff represents clients through all stages of the litigation process in both state and federal courts. He has been involved with multiple cases that went to trial. While he enjoys trial work, he has handled numerous cases that resolved long before trial began. He also represents and counsels clients on day-to-day legal issues, business issues, and advises clients on strategies for avoiding litigation altogether, focusing on each clients' individual needs and goals. Mr. Eckloff attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and graduated in 2015 with a certificate in corporate and commercial law. He was also staff editor for the Transportation Law Journal. Mr. Eckloff has been in private litigation practice since graduation and has represented a variety of institutional and individual clients across the entire State of Colorado. Mr. Eckloff is licensed to practice in Colorado and Arizona and is admitted to the US District Court for Colorado. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, Arizona Bar Association, and Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Eckloff is a native of Denver, Colorado and earned a degree in business finance, with honors, from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2012. While at CU, he was a member of the CU men's basketball team and was a member of the team that won the 2012 Pac12 Tournament and participated in the 2012 NCAA tournament. Mr. Eckloff joined the Montgomery Little & Soran team in 2019 and is excited to be working with a collective group of dedicated, experienced, and supportive professionals.

Bill Searfoorce is an Equity Shareholder who joined Montgomery Little & Soran in 2000. His practice emphasizes the construction industry, professional liability, employment law and business law. Mr. Searfoorce's representative clients include design professionals who provide services to the construction industry, including architects, engineers, land surveyors, and landscape architects. His cases involve a variety of construction projects, such as residential, commercial, public works and mixed use. He also represents owners, developers, contractors and subcontractors, and understands their unique perspectives in the building process. As a natural outgrowth of this work, clients frequently ask him to draft and revise service agreements and construction contracts. He is active in the legal community as a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Defense Lawyers' Association. Mr. Searfoorce has also volunteered his time to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, ACEC, and routinely speaks at continuing education seminars for design professionals. Mr. Searfoorce is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbel, and in 2015 he worked closely with ACEC of Colorado to draft and procure passage of House Bill 1197, which limits a designer's indemnity obligations on public construction projects. He has contributed as an editor for the Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Construction Law since 2007. Mr. Searfoorce's prior experience was serving 4½ years as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, where he was responsible for prosecuting the city's major crimes.
