Bill Godwin

Bill has been sharing his passion for playing music since the late 1970's and been playing even longer! He currently plays in a wide variety of bands and situations covering classic rock , jazz, folk, country and pop tunes. He also plays solo and in his church. Bill earned his degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in 1980. His current students range in age for 7 to 75. "you are never too old to learn or to improve your guitar playing! Bill also teaches Ukulele, Music theory , Harmony and Ear training.

Carol Syversen

Carol Syversen, originally from New York, began playing guitar at age 13 and has been dedicated to the craft since. Now a New Hampshire native, she received her Bachelor's degree in Music Interdisciplinary Skills from Berklee College of Music in 2018. Her talent ranges to include a variety of teachable styles and techniques, and she particularly enjoys playing and teaching finger style and folk guitar. She enjoys sharing her love of music with others and looks forward to working with new students at NHTunes!

Ethan Brown

NHTunes is very pleased to have Ethan Brown on board as a guitar and piano instructor. Ethan has his B.M. in Music Education, and B.A. in Jazz Guitar Performance from UNH. He has extensive music teaching experience, interning at Mast Way Elementary School, and teaching Saxophone at Moharimet Elementary School. Ethan enjoys playing & teaching many different styles of music including jazz, to classical, flamenco, folk, pop, and hip hop.

Jack Plante

Jack has been playing guitar since he was 15. He is a student at Saint Anselm College and will be graduating in the fall of '24 with degrees in Music and communications. He often performs locally, and enjoys songwriting, music production, and all genres of music.

John Funk

John Funk has been playing drum set for 16 years. Beginning at 9 years old, he studied privately before attending Berklee College of Music in 2015. Since then, he has formed numerous projects, recording, and performing original music in the New England area and beyond. John takes a holistic approach to drum education, emphasizing the importance of self-expression and the appreciation of sound. Whether you are taking your first steps on your musical journey or looking to take your skills to the next level John is here to help.

Laura Shaw

Laura currently teaches K-3 general music at the Harold Martin School in Hopkinton, NH. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2021 with a degree in Music Education with a focus on trumpet. She teaches beginner, to more advanced trumpet students, beginning flute saxophone and trombone, as well as beginning guitar, ukulele, voice, and piano. Laura aims to have a student focused learning experience, where students of all ages can learn the skills and tools necessary to have meaningful music-making experiences.

Marie began piano lessons at age five and continued through high school. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Pensacola Christian College. She has been teaching private music lessons for ten years and has also taught children's choirs and preschool music classes. Valentina graduated from the Music Concentration School, located in Baku, Azerbaijan for musically gifted youths, as a pianist. She continued her musical education at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory receiving a bachelor's and master's degree in operatic singing. She has worked as a soloist in both the Baku State Academic Opera Theater and the Moscow State Academic Russian Chorus. She also formed and directed the children's chorus Vasilyek in Moscow. She immigrated to the United States in 1993 where she has continued to teach.

Zane McDaniel

Zane graduated from Berklee College of Music with a BA in Music Business and a minor in Production & Engineering. His principal instruments of study were electric bass and piano. Additionally, he is experienced in strings, guitar, and mandolin. He has been self-producing albums since he got his first 4-track cassette recorder in elementary school. He has since chosen the Digital Audio Workstation "Reason" to compose and produce. He is also comfortable using Ableton, ProTools, Cubase, and Logic. Recently he has found a growing passion for modular synthesis. In addition to creating and performing Zane enjoys sharing his musical knowledge through teaching. He understands the importance of embracing every student's unique interests. Most of all, he believes that well-developed listening skills, musical understanding, and technical development are universally applicable to any musical tool."

Zoe Martel

Zoe Martel has been teaching music lessons for ten years. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. She currently works at Hooksett Memorial School, where she teaches general music, chorus and private and small group instrument lessons. Zoe's primary instrument is the violin and she has been playing with the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra since 2012. She enjoys fostering a love and appreciation for music in all of her students.
