NW CENTER FOR SUSTAINABILITY

NWCSI was born in 2009, out of concern for our long-term energy future, rising sea levels, worsening weather, and responsible stewardship of the Earth. During the past decade, NWCSI's energy efficiency project has resulted in energy audits and efficiency upgrades for over 2500 homes and businesses, providing energy savings and carbon emissions benefits to owners, occupants and the public. NWCSI's Educational Programs have fostered deeper understanding of risks to long-term energy and food supplies, as well as the global climate. NWCSI's work with the City of Seattle's Energy Benchmarking Program helped businesses and multi-family housing projects become more energy efficient... At present, NWCSI is putting its skills into an ambitious program: assisting organizations and households to take affordable, effective steps to reduce climate risk.
