Dr. Anna Diaz-Cruz

Dr. Diaz-Cruz was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida International University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. She then obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Ross University and completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois, graduating in 2008. After graduation, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Miami Veterinary Specialists. She worked as a relief doctor until obtaining a position at the Pet ER for 2 years, before shifting her focus to general practice. In her free time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family, husband and fur-baby, Clayton. She is also on the board of a non-profit organization called Reclaimed Earth Wildlife.

Dr. Jovanny Quesada

Dr. Jovanny Quesada-Rodriguez is a Cuban-American, born and raised in Miami, Florida. As a child, he knew he would be a veterinarian. Dr. Quesada attended Florida International University for his undergraduate degree and later earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Florida in 2019. He has worked in general practice at different locations throughout central Florida. Dr. Quesada worked with the Banfield Vet Hospital chains and worked relief at Blue Pearl Vet Hospitals. Dr. Quesada has special interests in Internal Medicine, Ultrasonography and Dentistry. When not treating his FUR-patients, Dr. Quesada enjoys trail hiking, cooking and spending time with his wife, family and his 3 fur-children who mean the world to him, Sazon, Lady and Genie.

Dr. Lorraine Karpinski

Dr. Lorraine Karpinski, a Philadelphia native, is a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist. Dr. Karpinski completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State and her VMD at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. During her 50-year veterinary career, Dr. Karpinski has interned at the ASPCA Hospital in New York City and did her residency at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to that, she began one of the first private veterinary ophthalmology practices in the Unites States in 1976 in Miami, Florida and took a special interest in avian and exotic ophthalmology, working with Zoo Miami and the Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida. When Dr. Karpinski is not treating her patients, she enjoys ceramic arts

Dr. Maria A. Ortega

Dr. Maria Ortega was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida International University and earned a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies. She then obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at St. George's University and did her clinical year at Auburn University. Dr. Ortega has been working at Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital since August 2021. Areas of professional interest include Dermatology and Nutrition. On her free time, Dr. Ortega enjoys trying new restaurants/places, reading, baking and spending time with family and her lovely pets, Carl the Great Dane, Scully, a Golden Retriever, & Candy, her 17-year old Chihuahua.

Dr. Sloane Robins

Dr. Sloane Robins, born and raised in Miami has had a passion for the veterinary field since the age of five. She began volunteering at her family veterinarian at the age of 12, followed by working as Kennel Staff, Receptionist and Technician before going to vet school. Dr. Robins attended the University of Florida for her Bachelor of Science in 1996 along with graduating and earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2000. After graduation, Dr. Robins interned at Veterinary Specialist of South Florida (currently known as Lead ER Animal Specialist Hospital) for 1 year. Since then Dr. Robins began her own at-home euthanasia service known as "Goodbye at Home." She has volunteered at various cat and dog rescues helping them find forever homes and has been working with Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital since 2015. When not helping or treating her furry patients, Dr. Robins enjoys going to concerts and spending time with family, friends and her furry companions. She currently has two rescue dogs: Susie, Vanilla, and five rescue cats: Sox, Ollie, Mr. Peabody, Whiskers and Beanie. We can definitely can say that animal rescue is one her passions.
