Greg Champion

Instructor Greg Champion has been a sworn law enforcement officer since 2005. He is the captain in charge of training for his respected organization. He is also a Criminal Justice Certified Firearms, Physical Fitness, Taser, and First Responder Instructor for Basic Law Enforcement Training at Vance-Granville Community College.

Greg Hughes

Instructor Greg Hughes has been a sworn law enforcement officer since 2003. He has been a law enforcement officer at the city, county, and state level. In 2005 Greg began training law enforcement officers on a part-time basis. During that time he conducted training at locations that included The North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division, The North Carolina Highway Patrol, Vance-Granville Community College, and Wake-Tech Community College. In 2007 Greg began instructing full time at Vance-Granville Community College in the law enforcement and corrections training program. As a full-time law enforcement/corrections training instructor he received instructor specialty certifications in physical fitness, defensive tactics, Taser, CPR, Baton, and firearms training. Greg has trained officers from across the state ranging in experience from entry-level recruits to veteran officers. As a result of his full-time training role, Greg completed the EMT course in 2010. In order to practice the newly acquired skills, Greg began working part-time with Granville EMS. As a result, he found a new aspect of public service work that he really enjoys and continues to work part-time with Granville EMS. Greg has also served as a first responder with Brassfield Volunteer Fire Department. Greg is currently a member of the North Carolina Law Enforcement Training Officers' Association, North Carolina Association of Rescue and Emergency Services, and Fraternal Order of Police.
