Lori Grech - Managing Director

Lori has over 20 years' experience working across government to provide recruitment, classification, job design and strategic HR consultancy services. With a Bachelor of Commerce behind her and extensive experience in senior HR roles, Lori has a broad understanding of the WA Public Sector and the challenges facing senior executives. Lori has provided HR solutions to some of the largest public sector agencies including the WA Department of Health, WA Police Force, and Department of Fire and Emergency Service. She ensures the services provided reflect contemporary, best practice and are targeted to meet specific needs of each client. In all HR services, Lori works closely with Clients to understand the scope of work required and facilitate highly effective HR processes. She consults widely, undertakes research, and makes recommendations that have been tailored specifically to "fit the bill" for what the client is looking for. Lori Grech is the Managing Director of QL Management Consultants and is one of Perth's most experienced executive coaches. Her coaching practice includes working with executives and high potential talent and supervising and mentoring other coaches. Using her extensive experience as a coach, Lori has developed and delivers coaching skills training to supervisors and managers so they are better equipped to develop the potential in others.

Michelle Neil

Michelle has over 12 years' experience in senior leadership roles within the WA Public Sector leading operational improvement and reform. In these roles and as a QL Management Consultant, Michelle has led functional reviews and service delivery redesign for diverse business areas, such as safety management, intelligence services, corporate communications and advisory services. Activities include benchmarking, analysis of service issues, identification of current gaps, undertaking stakeholder surveys/workshops, business mapping and proposing restructure options. With a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership and Management, Michelle also provides executive recruitment services at the Department of Health, North Metropolitan Health Service and WA Country Health Service. Working in State Government, Michelle has also gained considerable experience as a panel chair, recruiting her own staff and teams. Her specialist media and communications experience, supported by a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Sociology, enables her to deliver high quality products.

Paul O'Connor

Paul has over 25 years' experience as an SES officer in the Commonwealth and State Public Sector agencies. He has a Bachelor of Laws (Admitted to Supreme Courts of ACT and NSW; and to the Federal and High Courts of Australia).

Steve Musson

Steve has over 35 years' experience as a HR/IR specialist in the WA Public Sector and prior to leaving government, he held a wide range of senior positions. These roles were within the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Pilbara Development Commission and Central TAFE. With considerable prior experience at the Public Service Commission, Steve has both managed a team of internal consultants and provided HR/IR advisory services to a wide range of public sector agencies. Steve's specific expertise includes the management of discipline and substandard performance, grievance resolution and investigations and providing industrial advice and representation. Steve applies practical advice to resolve complex matters. He also provides guidance and coaching to managers on how to manage and deal with disciplinary and performance issues. Steve has assisted our major clients including WA Police Force, Department of Communities and the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries.

Susan Kurtjak

Susan has over 30 years' experience delivering highly efficient, cost effective and practical solutions in response to workplace matters. Throughout her career, Susan has provided high-level employment advice and consultancy services to government. Matters of note include covering harassment, performance management decisions, misuse of resources and workplace conflicts. A career highlight was establishing a National Australian Public Service wide Career Transition and Support Centre. It was Susan's role in this project to minimise the potential adverse impacts of budget measures on employees. Her work in this project supported the Commonwealth Government's commitment to retaining skills and experience within the public service. Susan's reports present findings that provide recommendations that are practical for agencies to implement and guaranteed to comply with relevant employment framework.
