SAASOA

SAASOA was established to facilitate and coordinate the implementation of development programmes, policies and strategies for socio economic growth in the Eastern Cape... (SAASOA) South African Association of Ship Operators and Agents was formed in 2007 out of a merger between (ASABOSA) the Association of Ships Agents and Brokers of Southern Africa founded in 1970, and (ASL) the Association of Shipping Lines founded in 1975 and (CLOF) the Container Liner Operators Forum founded in 1998, after it had become increasingly apparent that these three organisations had been interacting with the same parties with common goals. The opportunity existed therefore to become one voice for the Maritime and Shipping Industry and to concentrate their efforts to become more effective... To be recognised by all stakeholders as the voice of shipping representing maritime interest in South Africa on behalf of its membership which will includes all Ship Owners, Operators & vessel Agents.
