SIP - Key Persons

Andre Van Huyssteen

After graduating from the University of Pretoria in 2002 with a BSc in Construction Management, Andre joined SIP Project Managers in 2003, relocating almost immediately to Dubai. After 8 years in the UAE, working on several iconic projects in the hotel and leisure industry such as the Madinat Jumeirah and The Address Downtown Burj Khalifa, Andre was offered the opportunity to represent SIP as part of a project management team in Vietnam, for a duration of 3 years, as a Director. The project was a casino/leisure resort in Ho Tram, the first of its kind in the country. After all this time spent abroad, it was finally time to return to South Africa where Andre has been based since 2013 for several projects, along with some travel involved to work on The Strand Hotel in Namibia. Now an equity partner in SIP, Andre is excited for what the future holds in terms of the construction industry in South Africa, and the role that SIP will have in it.

Frank Winfield

Frank joined SIP in 1988 whilst still a student at The Durban University of Technology studying Building Surveying. From the get go, he was involved in a number of prestigious landmark projects in South Africa from the Lost City Entertainment Centre, the refurbishment of the Cascades Hotel and Le Touessrok Hotel in Mauritius to name a few. He was then appointed to head up the Mina a' Salam Hotel which formed a part of the larger Madinat Jumeirah Project in Dubai 2000 and the scene was set for him to stay in Dubai for the next 11 years. In 2006 he was appointed a shareholder director. In Dubai his overall industry experience grew phenomenally working on extremely large iconic projects with international consultants and contractors. He returned to South Africa to join the head office of SIP Project Managers in July 2012 ending a very successful sojourn in Dubai.

Jeff Ehrlich

Jeff graduated with a BSc Eng from Wits University and joined Schneid Israelite & Partners in 1983, and became a partner in 1989. He cut his teeth on The Johannesburg Sun Hotel and still to this day says that this was a project that stands out to him as they employed their own tiling and plastering teams and in effect, completed the hands-on part of the project themselves via a construction management service. His speciality has evolved into the building of casinos, offices and shopping centres around the country and his enthusiasm is for meeting budget and time lines as part of SIP's ethos, and for him beating them is a personal target.

Nyameko Magongo

Nyameko has been gaining technical & management experience since 1995 in the Property Development & Construction Industry. During this period, he has fulfilled the roles of Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, Head of Region, Director and Principal. Nyameko is a pragmatic and solutions driven practitioner, who values forward looking partnerships. He is registered as a professional construction project manager with the SACPCMP.
