Austin Gilleland assists clients in a range of transactional matters. He focuses his practice primarily in the areas of corporate, commercial real estate and capital markets.
Austin received his law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2022, where he served as an Articles Editor for the International Law Review Association and as Treasurer of the Real Estate Law Association and Corporate Law Association. Prior to Law School, Austin attended Texas A&M University for his undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.

Brian Fisher is a Shareholder in the Firm's Real Estate Practice. Mr. Fisher's extensive practice includes the representation of lenders, developers, owners and investors in all manner of real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, leasing and vertical development of office, industrial, retail, multi-family, and condominium products, as well as land development, including residential, mixed-use, commercial and ranch. Brian's practice includes a high concentration of commercial warehouse leasing and office leasing for institutional owners such as Heitman Capital Management, AEW and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company.

John David "JD" Reed focuses his practice on litigation involving private equity, corporate law, finance litigation, and commercial business disputes, business partnership disputes, construction defects, DTPA/consumer protection, employment, breach of fiduciary duty, non-compete, eminent domain, and Anti-SLAPP.
Jonathan P. Hernon is a tested trial attorney who has been licensed to practice for just over a decade. Mr. Hernon focuses his practice on litigation involving property/title disputes, breach of contract actions, first party insurance claims, personal injury claims, and DTPA/consumer protection claims.
Mr. Hernon received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2012.
Earlier, he attended the University of Houston and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and was named to the Dean's List his last semester.
Kevin C. Moran has over 13 years of civil litigation experience, successfully representing individuals and businesses in hundreds of legal disputes before trial and appellate courts throughout Texas. While his primary objective is to keep his clients out of the courtroom, when litigation does become necessary, Kevin is an accomplished litigator who has the ability to navigate the many and various complex issues that can arise in civil litigation.
Kevin focuses his practice on complex litigation involving commercial business disputes, breach of contract, securities and finance, anti-trust claims, real estate disputes, property development, construction and lien cases, construction defect, employment disputes and non-compete agreements, breach of fiduciary duty, officer/director liability, partnership disputes, and fraud claims. He also has extensive experience in representing individuals and families in family law matters, including in connection with pre-marital agreements, divorce litigation, high net-worth property division, and high-conflict custody disputes.
Kevin grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, before relocating to Texas in the ‘90s. He is a 2003 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where he received his B.A. in Business Economics. Kevin earned his law degree from The John Marshall Law School (Chicago, IL) in 2006. While in law school, he achieved placement on the Dean's Honor List and served on the Executive Board for The Law Journal.
Kevin is honored to have received the rating of "Super Lawyer, Rising Star," most recently in 2019, 2020, and 2021, a distinction limited to 2.5% of all eligible Texas attorneys.
Ronald L. Holmes is the Firm's founder and leads the Firm's Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Holmes has been practicing law for more than thirty years, primarily in the field of commercial real estate law, although he has also served as lead counsel on numerous civil litigation matters in both State and Federal Courts and has served as outside general counsel to many companies on a broad range of corporate and employment law matters.
His real estate law practice is as broad as it is deep. Mr. Holmes has served as lead counsel on real estate transactions all across the United States (more than twenty States), representing public and private companies, both domestic and international, in all manner of real estate transactions, including large scale multi-use land developments and high rise residential condominiums, to acquisitions and sales of operating property portfolios, office, industrial and retail leasing and virtually every other form of real estate development, construction, financing, investing and leasing.
Scott Meyer focuses his practice on Corporate and Intellectual Property matters. His Corporate practice includes a broad spectrum of services including entity formation, business transactions, operational agreements and contracts, sales, acquisitions and mergers of businesses, corporate governance and employment matters.
His Intellectual Property practice includes trademark, licensing and various service agreements for corporations.
In addition to his transactional practice, Mr. Meyer has a broad range of litigation experience in both commercial and intellectual property disputes.
His clients include businesses in many different industries and on various platforms, including entertainment, sports, technology, software, retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, biotech, publishing and finance, for both private and public companies, start-ups, small, midsize and large entities, universities, trusts and non-profit organizations.
In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Meyer worked in corporate America for two Fortune 500 companies in the advertising and technology industries.
Sean K. Scribner focuses his practice primarily in the area of commercial litigation. Sean has experience representing clients in a diverse array of litigation matters, including all manner of commercial disputes involving small to large businesses, partnerships, securities, insurance, and employment-related issues.
Sean has prosecuted and defended cases involving claims for breach of contract, fraud, anti-trust, DTPA violations, non-subscribing employer defense, mechanic's liens, and construction defects.
Sean received his law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2017. Sean attended Texas Tech University for his undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. Prior to pursuing a career in the law, Sean served as the director of marketing for a medical supply company in Sherman, Texas.
Taylor Bell focuses on supporting clients in a variety of transactional and litigation matters, with a focus in corporate and real estate transactions.
She received her J.D. with a concentration in Business Law from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2022, where she served as Associate Managing Editor of the International Law Review Association.
During law school, she interned with two federal judges and the Federal Trade Commission.
Vishal J. Patel focuses his practice primarily in commercial real estate transactions. Vishal has experience representing a wide array of clients in the purchase, sale and leasing of office buildings, apartment complexes, hotels, gas stations, multi-use land developments, and various other commercial transactions.
Vishal received his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2020, where he served as President of the Business Law Society, Executive Leadership Counsel and Student Ambassadors. Prior to Law School, Vishal attended Louisiana State University for his undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a concentration in Professional Sales.
Vishal's prior work experience has ranged from assisting the general counsel of a prominent private equity firm, employment with various boutique transactional law firms and active participation in his family's hospitality company.
