Alessia joined Whitelaw Twining as an associate in 2019 with a background in employment and family law. Currently, Alessia specializes in bodily injury, retail risk and product liability. She also practices employment law and represents employers on a variety of employment related issues. She has appeared in matters before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench.
Alexandra joined Whitelaw Twining as an Associate in 2023 after completing her articling term with the firm. Before joining our firm and getting called to the Bar, Alexandra spent over five years assisting legal teams in other reputable firms on various civil litigation matters. She now practices civil litigation, including insurance defence and personal injury law. Alexandra has appeared in matters before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of King's Bench.
Ali started her legal career in 2016 within the BC public service working her way through different legal administrative positions while putting herself through school to become a paralegal. Her experience has been focused in wills and estates, infant settlement reviews and other protective legal services for minors and adults, and most recently insurance defence and plaintiff personal injury once she transitioned from public service to a private law firm.
Ali has a deep level of compassion for those in need of help and guidance through the legal process, particularly folks who might be considered vulnerable in our communities. She finds joy and satisfaction in the essential tasks to move a file forward toward resolution such as drafting necessary documents and pleadings to file, writing court applications, efficient communication with all parties, analyzing medical and employment records, and preparing for discoveries and trial.
Outside of work, you can find Ali cooking or baking, reading science fiction or fantasy novels, playing tabletop games and boardgames with friends, and seeking new hobbies regularly. Ali also enjoys volunteering, furthering her education, and spending time with her partner and two cats (Pickle and Tiny).

Angie joined Whitelaw - Twining in August of 2021 as a Paralegal in the area of insurance defence and personal injury liability claims. She brings over 12yrs of plaintiff personal injury, disability insurance and medical malpractice litigation to which she is able to use this wealth of knowledge and vast experience with a well-rounded perspective to advance the files efficiently. Angie enjoys supporting the advancement and success of the files with superior organization, diverse litigation skills and great client communication.
Angie's experience includes initial case development, drafting of pleadings, document production, analyzing medical evidence, client communication, preparing Special Chamber applications, retaining & instructing experts, mediation and JDR preparation, all aspects of trial preparation and all other integral aspects of file management.
Outside of the office Angie soaks up all the love and admiration from her goldendoodle, Rosie! She is a busy mom and biggest (loudest) cheerleader to two teenage girls in competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics and competitive Track & Field. She enjoys challenging herself with leadership seminars and going for long bike rides with her husband (e-bike helps with tired legs). For relaxation, she plays the piano or reads self-development / leadership books. Fun Fact: Angie works with her goldendoodle and a research team to teach her dog to speak using Alternative Augmented Communication.

Meghan has over 12 years of legal experience with expertise in general litigation, corporate and commercial law, bodily injury and family law.
With an eye for detail and impeccable organizational skills, Meghan takes on a breadth of responsibility in file handling, including drafting pleadings, conducting evidentiary investigation and analysis, performing legal research, and preparing for examinations for discovery, mediations, and trial. Meghan enjoys the challenge of managing complex litigation.
Outside of work, Meghan can be found enjoying the outdoors with her partner and dog, Pickles. She is an avid hiker and mountain biker. In the summer, she can be found in her garden or tending to her bees. When indoors, Meghan enjoys diving into a good book and with a warm cup of coffee.
