BAY AREA HOSPITALISTS

Bay Area Hospitalists was founded in 2000 by Dr. Martin Sokol and Dr. Humayun Mian when they recognized the need that PCPs (Primary Care Providers) had for hospitalists in the Tampa Bay area. Since that time, Bay Area Hospitalists has steadily grown and currently provides hospitalist services at most of the hospitals in Hillsborough County, including St. Josephs, AdventHealth, Tampa General, Kindred Hospital-Central, Brandon, and Southbay. We also round at numerous skilled nursing facilities and ALFs, which enhances our ability to provide comprehensive care to patients before their final discharge home... The role of hospitalists has taken on an ever greater importance in the medical field, and to this effect our physicians have enthusiastically taken on leading roles in many of the hospitals in which we round.
