The Buffalo Southern Railroad (BSOR) is a locally owned and operated Class III common carrier, shortline, railroad company, located in Western New York. The mainline of the BSOR interconnects in Buffalo, NY (Buffalo Creek Junction) and runs southward towards Jamestown, NY on a 32 mile segment of track designated as Line 1246, owned by the County of Erie. The BSOR operates the line on a long-term lease agreement with the Erie County Industrial Development Agency. Along the line, the railroad passes through prime industrial, residential, and agricultural areas of the region, offering some of the best interchange connections available, Our freight rates are very competitive, and we interchange with all Class 1 railroads servicing the BC Junction, including: Norfolk Southern (NS), CSX, Canadian Pacific (CP), and; Buffalo & Pittsburg (B&P).
