Bwindi Community Hospital is a private, not-for-profit that was founded by U.S missionaries Dr. Scott and his wife Carol Kellerman under the Diocese of Kinkiizi, Church of Uganda way back in 2003. It began as an outreach clinic under a tree for the Batwa pygmies, who had been evicted from Bwindi Impenetrable forest when it was gazetted a mountain gorilla sanctuary... BCH is staffed by a team of 209. These include; doctors, nurses, midwives, other health workers and support staff. 70% of our employees are from within our catchment area and 30% are from other parts of Uganda.Bwindi Community Hospital cares for more than 120,000 people living in the South Western corner of Uganda...
