In fact, Allen's grandfather, after emigrating from Ireland, was responsible for installing much of the original carpet in the Empire State Building during its construction.
At the young age of 17, fresh out of high school, Allen partnered with his father to open their own flooring store in upstate New York. From marketing and sales to installations, they managed all aspects of their burgeoning business. Over the years, Allen has gained extensive experience with all types of flooring - carpet, luxury vinyl, tile, laminate, wood, and area rugs.
