Marches Energy Agency (MEA), founded in 1998, is a independent charity supporting communities in the Midlands. We deliver practical solutions to reduce fuel poverty and cold homes, promote energy reduction and encourage the uptake of renewable energy. Our overriding objective is to support householders. There are over 75,000 households struggling to stay warm in the areas we support... 2019 Climate Emergency: Many Local Authorities in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire declared climate emergencies. The UK Parliament declared a climate emergency. The Climate Change Act of 2008 is updated; instead of aiming for 80% cuts in emissions compared to 1990 levels, we are now aiming for Net Zero Carbon by 2050.
