In early 2017, Annette joined our team as a medical assistant. In 2017, she completed her training as a Certified Thermographic Technician with an expert in the medical thermography field, Dr. Robert Kane. Dr. Kane is known as the "Voice of Thermography" and brings over 20 years of experience to the field. She spent the last several years raising two wonderful boys and supporting her loving husband. Annette brings her love of family to our office in which she looks forward to focusing her caring nature on our patients. She has a passion to expand her knowledge of integrative medicine beyond that which she has studied through her own health experiences. Nutrition, exercise, and general well-being have always been of great importance to her.
Annette earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri after transferring from Northwest Missouri State University. While attending college, she taught several aerobic classes as a certified instructor. Her professional experience includes medical laboratory work as a patient care service representative and as a group insurance company administrative assistant.
About six years ago, Annette started having health problems. She suffered through her issues and attempted to find answers through several traditional doctors with no help. She was blessed to have meet a functional doctor who finally found the cause and diagnosed her with an autoimmune disease. This was the beginning of her journey to improving her health in a more natural way. Learning how the whole body must be looked at to find the root cause of health problems and make the necessary changes has become her passion. It is this passion that helps her care for our patients.
In her personal time, Annette enjoys reading, attending her son's soccer games, traveling with family, serving at her church, bike rides or nature walks and scrapbooking.
Bryan recently joined our staff, full time, after retiring from 30 years in the computer industry. We are happy to welcome Bryan as he has been an integral part of this company from its inception, working behind the scenes in the evenings and on weekends. As a co-founder with Dr. Diehn, Bryan created the technology software and financial programs needed to manage and oversee the successful business operations and financial management for IMS. He utilized his computer skills and co-wrote the scheduling software, inventory management programs, patient management programs, as well as financial management statistical queries and analysis reports that are used to keep this office running smoothly and successfully. He oversees the technological upgrades and advances that are necessary each year to stay current in the industry. He also conducts vital research necessary to secure better and more efficient modes of operation for our facility.
Bryan shares a commitment with his wife, Dr. Diehn, seeing and believing that Lifestyle Medicine can and does make a difference in one's health. He assisted and supported Dr. Diehn, while she attended Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona. This allowed him to slowly change his own philosophy about his health and lifestyle, as she was developing her skill set. Bryan has had the benefit of applying these changes in his own life during his marriage with Dr. Diehn. He has applied clinical nutrition, diet, exercise, stress management, and lifestyle changes that have helped him reduce and alleviate his own risk factors in his family history.
Bryan is a dedicated and focused individual that is here to make your experience with the IMS staff and doctors as efficient and effective as it can be utilizing the tools and systems he has put in place. Bryan also assists IMS wherever needed, so some days he may answer phones, other days he may be helping out in the front office. Today, Bryan is on a mission with IMS to reduce lifestyle-related death and disease. Medicine is changing. Patients are realizing that treating only the symptoms with cost prohibitive drugs and medications are not changing or eradicating the cause. We must teach people a better way to live, eat, and heal the body from the inside out.
Bryan lives with his wife in the country where they enjoy their sanctuary, their animals, and their time to heal.

Dr. Guse is a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at Integrative Medical Specialists in Olathe, Kansas. As an expert in holistic health and functional medicine, her goal is to bring hope and healing to the Kansas City area and beyond. Her passion and focus is women's health, holistic gynecology, integrative pediatric care including infant, child, and adolescent health, digestive system concerns, and chronic disease. She has trained with some of the most experienced midwives in the United States and abroad and especially loves guiding and treating the mama-baby unit and assisting in their care.

Dr. Guse is a Kansas City native and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Psychology and Chemistry. She then journeyed to Phoenix, Arizona to attend The Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, a Nationally Accredited Naturopathic Medical School to receive her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (ND). She is a member of the Kansas Naturopathic Physicians Association (KNPA) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). She also holds a specialty certification in Naturopathic Acupuncture.
Robert L. Kane, DC, DABCT, FIACT began in the field of thermal imaging in 1990. Midwest Thermography has contracted Dr. Robert Kane, Certified Thermographer, who is a California based outsource provider for thermal imaging interpretation services.
Dr. Kane acquired his training through the International Thermographic Society and achieved Diplomate level certification through the American Board of Clinical Thermography (ABCT). He also achieved Diplomate certification through the International Academy of Clinical Thermology (IACT) and was recognized as a "Fellow" by IACT for contributions to the field of thermal imaging. Dr. Kane furthered his knowledge of breast applications under the tutelage of Dr. William Hobbins, one the world's leading authorities.
Dr. Kane has previously served on the board of IACT and ABCT and currently provides high quality training for thermography technicians. He currently maintains a busy thermal imaging interpretation practice.
Dr. Robert Kane is known as "The Voice of Thermography," and brings over 20 years of experience to the field. He holds Diplomatic Certification with the American Board of Clinical Thermographers (ABCT) and the International Academy of Clinical Thermology (IACT.) He also holds Fellowship with the International Academy of Clinical Thermology. Dr. Kane provides private interpretation services for over 20 thermography centers in the United States, Canada and Israel.
