In 2005, Ken's son Drew Jensen began working in the company after completing his education in business and structural engineering. Drew and his wife Jane, also a York native, became partial owners in 2006 and are both currently involved in the daily operations of the company. Currently Jensen Lumber Co. is active in commercial contracting and the retail lumber business in the York area. Jensen Lumber Company has traced the beginnings of its lumber business to at least 1900 when the lumberyard operated in York, Nebraska, as National Lumber Company. Sometime in the early 1900's, E.S. Clarke, owner and manager, changed the name to E.S. Clarke & Co. In 1913, Elijah A. Levitt, a Russian immigrant who had come to America to get an education, began working at E.S. Clarke & Co.
