Dr. Amanda Evans

Dr. Evans is a pediatrician from England with 18 years of pediatrics under her belt. Since coming to Canada she has worked hard to learn all the important Canadian skills like ice skating and skiing. Her favorite toy to play with is Lego, which she loves to play with her son. She is a mother and mouseketeer all in one! Watch out when she heads to the Magic Kingdom, if she sees Mickey you better get out of her way!

Dr. Candace Rypien

Job Titles:

Dr. Rypien is a Pediatrician with extra training in Infectious Disease and Immunology. She has a close working relationship with the department of Immunology at the Alberta Children's Hospital. She specializes seeing families with concerns about vaccinations, as well as children with concerns about recurrent infections. She also teaches at the Medical School in Gondor, Ethiopia. Outside of work she enjoys travel, cooking, reading and has a mild obsession with boardgames and escape rooms. She is currently trying to learn French and perfect her cheese scone recipe. She aspires to become a dog or cat owner.

Dr. Dan Ross

Dr. Ross is the Kiwi of the group with 20 years experience in developmental and behavioural pediatrics. His patience and compassion are a favourite among the staff and kids alike. He loves photography, and will spend hours taking pictures anywhere he can! However his favourite part of his job is to chat about video games (especially Halo) with his patients - where he learns all the best strategies!

Dr. Esther Jun

Dr Jun is interested in consulting for a wide variety of pediatric concerns. She has completed her training at the Stollery Children's Hospital before moving to Calgary, where she can be closer to the mountains. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys practicing yoga, painting, and exploring the great outdoors.

Dr. Krista Clark

Job Titles:
  • Pediatrician
Dr. Clark sees a wide variety of paediatric conditions. She completed her paediatric residency at the University of Calgary. She teaches at the medical student and resident level through the Cumming School of Medicine. Dr. Clark is a yoga enthusiast, culinary connoisseur, lake lover, and outdoor adventurer. Dogtor Ted is Dr. Clark's trusted companion who assists with a variety of paediatric patients. He is an emotional support to some and has aspirations of being fully certified as a therapy dog. In his spare time he enjoys walks, squeaky toys and chasing magpies.

Dr. Lindsay Stockdale

Dr. Stockdale is interested in a broad spectrum of pediatric conditions and splits her time between caring for kids at Kiwi Pediatrics and at the Alberta Children's Hospital. When she's not working she is spending time outside with her two young boys skiing, biking and hiking (she's looking forward to a time when they are old enough that she no longer has to tow or carry them). She loves to read so whenever there is a quiet moment between work and kids you are sure to find her curled up with a good book.

Dr. Shaila Zaver

Dr. Zaver sees a wide variety of pediatric conditions. In addition to her practice at Kiwi Pediatrics, she also sees children at the CUPS clinic, and sees the newborn babies at the South Health Campus. She completed her General Pediatrics residency training at the Alberta Children's Hospital. She is also involved in teaching at the medical student and resident level through the University of Calgary. She spends her time outside the clinic running, doing yoga, reading, and most of all, travelling!
