The Monroe Municipal Utilities Authority (MMUA) is an independent public body politic and corporate of the State of New Jersey that was created by virtue of an ordinance of the Township of Monroe, Gloucester County, New Jersey, adopted September 26, 1957 under New Jersey State Municipal and County Utilities Authorities Law P.L. 1957, c. 183, s. 1, c40:14B-2 et seq. 1. and was reorganized as a Municipal Utilities Authority, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 183 of the Laws of New Jersey of 1957, on May 8, 1959, by ordinance of the Township of Monroe... Here, at the Monroe MUA, it is our mission to serve our customers and deliver the highest quality water and sanitary sewer service by utilizing every safeguard to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public. Our goal is to achieve these objectives by demonstrating integrity, professionalism, economically-sound practices and innovation in a cost-effective, environmentally responsible manner.
