David Norkett

David has worked in the NHS for over 10 years and prior to joining the PPSA, David was the Homecare and High cost medicines Lead within the Pharmacy department at Musgrove Park Hospital. Davina Mortimer

Davina is the Director of Procurement, managing a team of staff responsible for delivering contracts and realising savings and efficiencies across a broad spectrum of areas. Davina worked at Southampton Hospitals NHS Trust as a Contracts Negotiator until she left to travel the world. On her return she moved back home to Devon and was appointed to the PPSA in May 2002. Davina began as the PPSA Procurement Lead for Pharmacy and built up the successful Pharmacy Stakeholder Group. She has led work not only for the PPSA but also across the whole of the South West and has a good track record for realising significant savings and efficiencies. Davina has led many contracts, especially Pharmacy Homecare projects, which provide and administer patients with their medicines in the comfort of their own home. These projects are often complex in nature with a requirement to involve both Acute Trusts and Commissioners in order to ensure a fully integrated approach. Davina graduated from the University of Southampton with a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology. She is a fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) and has completed the Institute of Leadership Management (ILM) qualification level 5.

Kathleen Dennis

Kathleen is the Deputy Director of Procurement and joined the PPSA in September 2003. Kathleen's has worked on multiple categories including Pathology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy and Radiology. Kathleen was instrumental in the introduction of the Pathology Managed Equipment Service for the PPSA member Trusts. Prior to joining the NHS, Kathleen worked for several multi-national companies in the private sector. Commencing in 1982, she undertook a variety of procurement roles at Toshiba Consumer Products (UK) Ltd buying and scheduling high value electronic components for the television manufacturing industry. She left Toshiba as a Buyer in 1997 to join Invensys Climate Controls Ltd as a Senior Buyer. Here, Kathleen progressed to Purchasing Manager, managing the Purchasing team and the Supplier Quality Assurance team. As part of the European division Kathleen managed specific commodities for the whole of the European operation. Kathleen left Invensys in 2001 to join Princess Yachts International Limited as a Supplier Development Manager. Her role here was to improve their supply chain by implementing kanban and lineside delivery procedures, incorporating new systems to facilitate them and introducing a supplier performance development programme. Kathleen gained graduate membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in 1996 and was CIPS Devon and Cornwall Branch Treasurer from 1998 until she resigned the position in 2005.

Tracie Dawson

Tracie Dawson is a Category Manager who joined the PPSA in November 2009. Tracie has 15 years service in the NHS, previously within the Human Resources arena. In 2005 Tracie took a career change from Human Resources Management to Procurement when she commenced work in the Procurement Team, Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, as an Assistant Buyer. Tracie was shortly promoted to Buyer for Theatres, Surgery and the HSDU Directorate. The role encompassed working closely with key stakeholders procuring a wide range of goods and services including capital purchases. Tracie work spans a number of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Homecare projects. Tracie is CIPS qualified.
