Alicia Mitchell has been with the company since February 2022. She was born in Indiana, however she has lived in Colorado most of her life and doesn't see herself leaving anytime soon because she loves the mountains way too much! She enjoys taking pictures of her mountain adventures, whether it's hiking or paddleboarding. Alicia strives to live an adventurous, positive and healthy lifestyle as much as she can. She loves trying new places to eat and comedy shows but she especially loves music, so you'll catch her going to concerts and supporting the local music community on the regular.

Elizabeth joined Poonam's by Design after relocating to Aurora from Northern Colorado. She brings a vibrant energy to our team, fueled by her passion for travel, dancing, and spending quality time with friends and family. Before the pandemic, Elizabeth began her studies in Interior Design and Business Management at Utah State University, laying a solid foundation for her career in the industry. Now, as an Assistant Project Manager, Elizabeth specializes in coordinating the timely completion of design and remodeling projects. She excels at scheduling, liaising with tradespeople, and resolving challenges that may arise during construction. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset, she ensures seamless communication between clients, contractors, and our internal team. Driven by her commitment to efficiency and quality, Elizabeth strives to deliver exceptional results every time.
Everett was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and decided to move to Denver in 1993. Everett initially worked in the corporate world in Colorado but has been a First Responder for the last 14 years. Everett is married with children and grandchildren and enjoys entertaining, traveling, watching sports and relaxing with his love ones. Everett joined the team full time in 2022 but has always played a role behind the scenes since the inception of the company, which started on Poonam's "hunny do list"! Hunny do this, hunny do that, etc.
Kristina joined our team, bringing with her an extensive background in project management, customer service, and interior design. She is a Jackson Hole, Wyoming native, having first come to Denver to attend college. She graduated from The Art Institute of Colorado with an AA in Interior Design, and from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a BS in Business Management. Kristina has worked in commercial design and in the foodservice equipment industry. In 2015, Kristina got her Colorado real estate license and has worked in this market as well. Kristina's true passion is helping people discover and create the place they will call home. She has been married for 26 years, and has 3 beautiful children. She enjoys art and creativity, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

Poonam Moore, the dynamic force behind some of the most stunning interior transformations in the country! As an award-winning interior designer, general contractor, and entrepreneur, Poonam brings unmatched expertise and passion to every project she touches. Poonam is the proud founder of Poonam's by Design, a thriving interior design firm with two successful locations in Colorado, established in 2006. Her roots trace back to the vibrant Fiji Islands and the bustling cityscape of Los Angeles, where her love for design began at an early age. She pursued her passion at The Art Institute of Colorado, earning a degree in Interior Design, and has since built a reputation for excellence and innovation. You may recognize her as the talented designer who captivated audiences for two seasons on HGTV's Rico to the Rescue or as the victorious luxury suite designer in the competitive 100 Day Hotel Challenge. Now, Poonam is ready to take the spotlight once again with her newest venture, Smart Home Giveaway 2025, premiering on HGTV this year. Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including being named a Top Designer in Colorado 2025 by Colorado Homes & Lifestyles Magazine. She has also been featured in Parker Lifestyles Magazine, Great Day Colorado on Denver's Channel 2, Fox 31, and more. When she's not creating breathtaking designs, Poonam treasures time with her husband, Everett, her amazing daughters, and her adorable grandchildren. With her signature style, contagious energy, and commitment to creating homes that inspire.
Rachel joined Poonam's By Design after earning her Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design from Arapahoe Community College. A firm believer that hands-on experience is the best teacher, she began her career at age 22, drawing on the passion for design she developed helping her father with countless home improvement projects. Born and raised in Colorado, Rachel enjoys cooking, watching movies, and spending time with her family. She lives with her husband Ray, along with their two sons, two dogs, and two cats. Rachel's goal is to create spaces that seamlessly blend each client's practical needs with a touch of beauty, resulting in inviting, functional, and inspiring environments.
Shanell is a born and raised Colorado native. She studied at Colorado State University where she graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture and Design with a focus in Psychology. Her creativity stems from a family that encouraged her to explore a variety of unique outlets. Growing up Shanell played soccer for 13 years, played the piano, danced, cheered, and painted extensively. Her passion for design allows her to not only express that creativity, but help others express their own through their home design. Shanell is eager to further her interior design knowledge as a junior designer and be a part of an amazing team.
