Amy Prokop

Amy Prokop was nominated to the board in 2023 by the University of Saskatchewan, College of Kinesiology. As a product manager lead, Prokop applies her two degrees from the University of Saskatchewan. For the past eight years, Amy has been an assistant coach with the Huskie women's soccer program. During her University athletic career, she helped the Huskie women's basketball team win their first Canada West Championship and earn consecutive appearances at the USPORTS championships. As a coach, Amy has helped start a grassroots Junior Huskie program, spearheaded alumni engagement initiatives, and helped establish a mission driven culture with a focus on community investment.

Bill Kinash - Chairman

Job Titles:

Bill Kinash was nominated to the Board in 2021 by Sask Cycling. He served as Vice Chair Sport in 2022-23, before being elected chair for 2023-24. He has been a volunteer and an avid cyclist for 45 years. A long-serving member of the Sask Cycling board, he has served in roles including vice president of racing, finance, coaching and Sask First before becoming president for 10 years from 1992-2002. Kinash served as an elected board member for Cycling Canada for 19 years which included a three-year term as president. He has been recognized for his contributions to sport with service awards from Sask Cycling and Canada Cycling, received a Saskatchewan Sport Volunteer Recognition Award in 1994 and is a member of the Saskatchewan Sport Hall of Fame as a builder. Kinash is a registered professional engineer and works at SaskPower.

Brett Hines

Brett Hines was nominated to the Board in 2021 by Skate Canada - Saskatchewan and was named Vice Chair Trust Fund for 2023-24. Hines is a current board member for Skate Regina, Chair of the Evaluators/Judges Sub-Committee and member of the Officials Coordinating Committee and Competition Committees for Sask Canada - Saskatchewan. He is also Chair of the Program Development Committee and a member of the Sport Chair Working Group for Skate Canada. An Executive Assistant, he has experience in strategic planning, operational procedures, management and relationship building. Hines has been recognized for his volunteer service with a Saskatchewan Sport Award and a Skate Canada Award in 2020.

Colina Paul

Colina Paul was nominated to the Board in 2022 by the Saskatchewan Archery Association and was named Vice Chair Lotteries for 2023-24. Colina has spent time on a multitude of boards including Regina's Rainbow Youth Centre Board, Sask Sport's Indigenous Sport Leadership Council and Regina's Board of Police Commission. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Regina, as well as a Master of Human Resource Management from the Levene Graduate School of Business at the University of Regina. Colina can often be found coaching or in the stands cheering on the youth.

Joel Brown was nominated to the Board in 2023 by Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association. Brown is a student and pre-service teacher, currently finishing an education degree at the University of Regina. He volunteers as a football coach with Regina Minor Football, as well as coaches high school football. As a coach, Brown uses his platform to share a positive, educated and energetic message and bring another perspective to athletes. Brown is an avid sport participant having played basketball and football throughout his life.

She has been an active member of the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Track and Field Youth Board for five years, is a University of Saskatchewan Huskie track and field alumni and represented athletes on the Huskie Indigenous Students Council.

Luke Flegel was nominated to the Board in 2022 by Sask Volleyball and was named Vice Chair Sport for 2023-24. Flegel is active within the volleyball community in the province, where he is both an official and coach. As a Senior Program Manager, he has experience in strategic planning and operating budgets. Flegel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Systems Engineering from the University of Regina, and recently completed a Diploma of Business Administration. In addition to volleyball, he has a background in a wide range of sports, including baseball, basketball, soccer, curling and tae-kwon-do.

Mason Medynski was nominated to the Board in 2022 by Basketball Saskatchewan. Rochelle Neff was nominated to the Board in 2021 by Football Saskatchewan and served as Vice Chair Lotteries in 2022-23. Neff is the current vice president and chair of the community liaison committee for the Saskatoon Hilltops and has been an active "sports mom" in hockey and football. A Rural Municipal Admin and Economic Development Officer, Neff has experience with grant writing, succession planning, policy writing, stats and acts, procedures and budgets. She has worked with all levels of government, is community-minded and has a strong sense of civic leadership.

Shawn Waskewitch was nominated to the Board in 2021 by the Rivers West District for Sport, Culture and Recreation and served as Vice Chair Trust Fund in 2022-23. An analyst with SaskEnergy since 2013, Waskewitch is active with the Crown Corp's Aboriginal Government Employees Committee. He is the current Director of the Muskoday Economic Development Board and has helped set the strategic direction for the board, as well as helped identify investment and partnership opportunities. He has been a member of the Sask Sport Indigenous Sport Leadership Council for the last two years and is passionate about sport as a participant.

Trent Knapp was nominated to the Board in 2021 by CURLSASK. He served as Secretary/Treasurer in 2022-23 and will remain in the position for 2023-24. A Chartered Professional Accountant, Knapp works with clients ranging from not-for-profit organizations/corporations, governments and Indigenous communities. He also has experiences in corporate structures and governance practices, as well as connections to various business and government leaders in southern Saskatchewan. Knapp is active with soccer, golf and curling in the province.
