After getting his start at Guilford College, Sam graduated from law school at Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, he moved back to the Triad, where he passed the Bar Exam in 1998. Since he began his practice in North Carolina, Sam Spagnola has been a legal advocate for every one of his clients. Law has always been a passion for Sam Spagnola. While at Guilford College, he was involved in the North Carolina Student Legislature and wrote a political column for the school newspaper. When he moved on to law school, Sam quickly became the president of the Federalist Society. He was also a member of the ATLA Mock Trial Team, the International Law Moot Court Team, the Board of Advocates, and the American Inns of Court. He further distinguished himself by being selected to be the Chief Counsel of the SMU Criminal Justice Clinic by his clinic professor. Before he even graduated law school, Sam had already been a part of two real criminal jury trials (and won both). He had also worked as an intern for the Attorney General of Texas in child support enforcement. Since establishing his practice in Greensboro, Sam has focused on family law and bankruptcy. These two areas of law greatly impact those they touch, and those involved in either deserve experienced and caring legal representation. And Sam wanted to provide that representation to Greensboro and the rest of the North Carolina Triad. Sam still works with the same dedication and fire as he did in his college days.
