CHINA STOCK MARKET

The development of the China stock market. In the late 1980's China sent two delegations to the United States; one from Shenzhen and one from Shanghai. They met with well-known American business and China trade consultant Mr. Bill Shook. Mr. Shook took the delegations to see famous stock brokerages in the Los Angeles area and have detailed discussions with the managers. The meetings with the managers of the stock brokerage enterprises resulted in the delegations learning how stock markets operate and their daily activities. The results of the delegation trip to the United States helped the delegation members begin the formation of the very successful Shenzhen and Shanghai stock exchanges in China.
