BLUE CHIP INVENTORY - Key Persons

Rod Walsh

Blue Chip Inventory Service was founded in 1970 by Rod Walsh in Sherman Oaks, California. Rod, who holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting and an MBA, saw a need for a company committed to accurate inventory counts and affordable prices. Some one hundred thousand inventories later, one could say, that has proven to be a very successful formula. In 2011, with a greater focus on International opportunities, Rod Founded Blue Chip Inventory Service International. From its earliest days, Blue Chip has been at the leading edge in its use of technology to improve inventory results. First was the move from bulky voice recorders to light weight, reliable cassette tape recorders. A few years later it was hand-held electronic calculators. Then, in 1980, there was the move to the ICAL100 family of inventory calculators. Followed rapidly by ICAL200, DC2.0 and currently DC2.5 hand-held inventory data terminals. Each of these moves up the technology ladder led to better and faster results - today inventory reports and disks are presented to our customers at the conclusion of the inventory. In the " good old days" it could take as long as 14 days to return inventory results. Blue Chip was a Charter Member of the North American Association of Inventory Service, of which Rod Walsh is the former 3-time president. In this new and exciting century, Blue Chip customers can count on an unrelenting commitment to delivering the best, most accurate results at the lowest possible costs.
