The industrial engineering program at Rutgers provides students with a broad engineering education along with specialization in the industrial engineering, manufacturing, financial and energy fields. We believe that a broad education is necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global/societal context. Academic strength in mathematics, physics, and basic engineering science is required. Specialization is offered in mathematical modeling, quality engineering and statistical techniques, computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, simulation, manufacturing processes, engineering economics, production planning and control, design of engineering systems and information technology.
