MCCASLIN & MCCASLIN - Key Persons

James McCaslin has been involved in community organizations and has served on various boards of directors. He has worked with the Boy Scout Council, the Elkhart County Humane Society, Elkhart Community Hospice, and the Elkhart County Multiple Listing Service. He is currently serving as legal counsel for the Elkhart County Board of Realtors. He served as a reviewer of legislative drafts for a law initiative working in the countries of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Mr. McCaslin served as Elkhart City Attorney, and as part of that responsibility, was a member of the Elkhart Board of Works.

Nancy McCaslin was a teacher before joining her husband in the practice of law. She has taught business law courses at Indiana University South Bend and as a guest lecturer in Central and Eastern European countries through a European law initiative. Mrs. McCaslin has been involved in community organizations and incorporated Elkhart Community Hospice, Inc. and served on its board of directors. She also served on the Board of Trustees for The Stanley Clark School. She was a deputy prosecuting attorney, has represented clients in the courts of appeal, and has argued before the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court. She has also written for a major law publisher.
