Julie A. Hopkins

Julie A. Hopkins practices all aspects of intellectual property law, domestically and internationally, and brings over a decade of intellectual property experience to the firm. Additionally, Ms. Hopkins is the Intellectual Property Law Program Manager at the University of Maryland School of Law. Ms. Hopkins's litigation experience includes trademark, unfair competition, copyright, and patent infringement actions in the U.S. District Courts where she successfully asserted and defended against infringement claims on behalf of her clients. She also represented clients in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Federal Circuit.

Matthew B. Palmer is a principal of Palmer|Cooper|Hopkins where his practice focuses on business transactions, taxation and corporate law. Mr. Palmer brings his past experience as an economist to bear in advising his clients on strategic business matters including structuring transactions, acquisitions and company finance. In transactional matters, Mr. Palmer has extensive knowledge on mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Palmer has experience in domestic and international transactions and has advised clients on issues with respect to foreign counter parties including compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Lobbying Disclosure Act. Mr. Palmer has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate transactions. He represents owners and developers of commercial real estate from acquisition through development, leasing, and disposition. His past experience includes serving as counsel to private investors, developers, and title and escrow firms. Mr. Palmer has a thorough understanding of commercial real estate finance, purchasing and sales of real estate assets. Mr. Palmer has represented landlords and tenants in lease negotiations, lease drafting and litigation. Mr. Palmer also represents clients in real property ownership disputes and partition litigation.
