Meet Andre Karam, the President of Sam Karam and Sons General Contractors. Andre originally started when he was only 15 years old, over 30 years ago! He started working for his father, who took him to work and taught him everything he knew about construction, customer service, and business. Andre took over the day-to-day operations in 2001. He enjoys working in this field and maintaining the business every day, which allows him to spend time with his wife and family. When he isn't running things here, he enjoys skiing as well as exercising and other outdoor activities.

Meet Christina Karam, the office manager and treasurer at Sam Karam and Sons. Christina began her career here in 2008. She joined after Andre reached out to her looking for someone to help him in the office. At the time, Andre was responsible for the office's day-to-day tasks as well as working in the field. He needed someone to help answer calls and run the office tasks in order to allow him to focus on selling and growing the business. She agreed to help and began working with him a few days a week. As time went on she dedicated more time to working here which developed into her current full-time role as office manager and treasurer of the company.
Christina grew up in Westport, MA, and attended Westport High School. She has now been a resident of Dartmouth for several years. When she isn't working, Christina likes to travel as well as spend quality time with her close friends and family. She says although it may be difficult for some spouses to work together at times, she and Andre actually work extremely well together. She enjoys the journey of continuing to grow their businesses.
Meet Michelle Collette, Administrative Assistant. Michelle started with us in 2023, accepting the position as our Administrative Assistant. She has since assisted with customer service, sales, and other various tasks. Michelle was looking for a more challenging and rewarding role in office management in order to feel more engaged and fulfilled in the professional aspect of her life. We offered her the opportunity to utilize her strengths as well as learn our day-to-day processes. She said she immediately felt comfortable here and expressed how our work environment suits her personality very well. This opportunity has also fulfilled her joy of working as a team. She takes pride in helping everyone, which includes having a meaningful impact on customers and their buying experience. She loves that she can share her ideas freely and knows she thrives in a positive atmosphere. She believes when an employer sees and hears you, you really feel valued.
Michelle has worked in office management for larger building material suppliers for over 25 years. She joined Sam Karam and Sons for the smaller atmosphere where she feels more like a significant member of the company. She welcomes any task and responsibility that allows her to learn while offering her experience and knowledge from her many years working in the home improvement and construction field.
