Victoria Cabanos is a trained architect and construction professional with over twenty five years of experience in the construction industry. She has worked on a variety of project types in a diversity of roles, including project architect, production engineer, construction supervisor and project manager. With an extensive knowledge of materials and methods and an integrated understanding of the entire construction process she has successfully demonstrated a skill set which includes designing, directing, budgeting, scheduling, resource management and vendor contract negotiations within aspects of the construction industry. She has managed numerous complex project teams, and has brought essential quality management services to the work, while keeping it firmly on budget and schedule. Her in-depth understanding of and familiarity with all aspects of construction afford her an overview of the work that allows for the best determination of priorities. She has also provided valuable insight for lease negotiation and contract development early on in the design process, and has ensured that the most qualified selection of contractors has been reviewed and evaluated for competency and compatibility. Victoria is also an accomplished professional woodworker and the managing partner in her own woodworking firm. As Managing Principal and strategic visionary, she is goal oriented and has successfully executed the tactics and developed tools necessary to grow and drive the business. She is the responsible decision maker and manager of the organization, presiding over operations, including the implementation of processes guiding the production teams' responsibilities for meeting the company's quality standards of accuracy, comprehensiveness and timeliness. Victoria is a graduate of Cornell University, an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and has earned Certificates of Achievement from NYU Stern Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation as well as Wharton's Executive Program: Elevating Finance and Operations and the Harvard Business School Program: Inspiring Entrepreneurial Strategy. She is a trained New York State Licensed Real Estate Appraiser and an active member of the American Institute of Architects, American Society of Professional Estimators, Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, The Real Estate Board of New York and The National Association of Women Business Owners. Victoria continues to volunteer and support the Bronx Museum of the Arts and Chinatown YMCA where she served as a Trustee and Member of the Board of Managers, respectively, at each organization for over 10 years. Additionally, she participates in activities to support the Van Alen Institute and Habitat for Humanity.
