Chris Dobson is a highly experienced print and TV journalist and has run his own production company for the last four years. In addition to his extensive journalism career, Chris is also a professional media trainer, PR and communications expert.
Chris was brought up and educated in Britain. He started his journalism career on the Hastings and St Leonards Observer before heading to Australia where he edited an outback paper, the Griffith Area News. Chris then moved to Hong Kong where he joined the South China Morning Post in 1990 as an investigative reporter.
During nearly six years at the paper he won five consecutive awards for his stories covering crime, espionage, the military and other news issues.
VP Operations, MFS-Metro Fiber Systems (now known as Verizon) Responsible for the initial Asia/Pac rollout of all data and voice systems in over 12 countries. Including hiring 250 technical
support staff, plus deployment of management and provisioning systems/platforms.
Regional Operations Manager Bloomberg L.P. Originally based in Tokyo, later Hong Kong. Responsible for all technology, including all field services provided to customers and internal technical support for staff.
Dow Jones-Telerate HK, Marketing Commodities Services. Initially starting in regional support of Asia/Pac forex trading network backbone. Moved to equity support, finally marketing of commodity trading system from trading pits of Chicago/NY/Singapore to Taiwan.

Prior to becoming Partner to various IP based companies, worked for US brokerage firms (Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley). Dealt with wide range of Asian and US Equity also Fixed income products.
Studied, worked and lived in five countries, travelled extensively in three continents, majoring in Marketing and Finance, conversant with Spanish, English and Cantonese.
