With more than 25 years of experience in leading and managing projects, programs, and strategies in the banking, insurance, high-tech, and transportation industries, for IT and business, he discovered the secret of work-project execution success.
He became an expert in helping companies to gain competitive advantage through strategic project management and leadership. He is inspiring and motivating, focused on the big picture but attentive to detail.
Through his company, StratProM Consulting, he now offers a broad set of services designed to deliver superior results and sustainable capabilities of strategy (collections of projects) and strategy element (individual projects) execution.
George served as the Senior Director Business Effectiveness in a Canadian bank with annual revenues in excess of $11 billion CAN. He improved projects' contribution to business strategy through balanced and pragmatic deployment of processes and tools, investment in skills, leading by example, and coaching.
Before joining the bank, he spent five years at a large international property and casualty insurance company, where he received the Corporate Excellence Award for the successful execution of technology strategy as part of the new business strategy for small business insurance companies in the Canadian market.
Earlier George worked for a major international high-tech company, where as a senior leader, he spearheaded the adoption of the Six Sigma process improvement in IT by advocating breakthrough improvements, making data-driven decisions, promoting team-based effort and clear accountabilities.
While working for a major Canadian transportation company, he turned around a large and complex transportation system project.
George holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, and Project Management Professional Accreditation (PMP).
