Dr. Glenn K. Miyataki

Currently, Dr. Miyataki is President of JAIMS (Japan-America Institute of Management Science), a non-profit postgraduate institute located in Hawaii and founded by Fujitsu Limited in 1972. Provides vision and leads in the implementation of management education programs, business language and communications training, and corporate seminars for managers from Japan, the U.S., other Asian countries, and Europe. Annually visits countries such as Japan, China, Singapore, France, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom to consult with corporate executives and government officials on management training and to conduct workshops on cross-cultural management at the executive and MBA program levels. Experience includes visits to Denmark, Austria, Germany, the Philippines, and Turkey for management workshops and consultation. Dr. Miyataki served as Associate Dean (1994-96) and Associate Professor (1985-96) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Business Administration (UHCBA), specializing in comparative management and organizational behavior, strategic planning, and leadership training for business executives and hospital administrators. Mr. Moran is an Organizational and Management Consultant with specialties in Cross-Cultural Training, Organizational Development, and International Human Resource Management. During the academic year 1987-88, he was Visiting Professor at Ecole Superieure Des Sciences Economique Et Commerciales in France. As an international consultant, his experience extends to a variety of organizations and institutions, He has designed and conducted seminars for Aramco, Arthur Andersen &Co., AT&T, General Motors, Honeywell, Intel, Bayer, Exxon, Volvo Truck Corp., and Singapore Airline, among many others. From 1998-2001, he was Interim Chair, Department of International Studies, at Thunderbird School of Global Management Dr. Robert Moran received his PhD from the University of Minnesota. He was also a coach and advisor of the Japanese National Hockey Team and, as an advisor, attended the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France, and the 1972 Games in Spporo, Japan. Ltd, which is the first cross-cultural management firm in China. As a management consultant, Mr. Huang has worked with numerous large Chinese national corporations such as Kunming Pharmaceutical Group, Kelon, Nanfu Battery, and China Life Insurance, as well as MNCs including SPX, Telkom Indonesia, Fujitsu, and Phillips Medical System. He specialized in cross-cultural consulting and training, leadership training and executive coaching. Recently, Mr. Huang was invited by P. T. Telkom to deliver a cross-cultural management workshop for its top managers and executives in Bali, Indonesia. Immediately before founding 4stones, Mr. Huang was Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Oztime Education Technology and Network Co. Ltd, which is a leading e-learning company in China. Prior to that, he worked for Pilot Marketing Management Consulting Co. Ltd as managing director. Previous to this, he was a Vice President at Datahouse, a 30-year Honolulu-based management and technology consulting company. He also served as International Operations Supervisor and Resident Representative-China for Allied Domecq Retailing International, the parent company of Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts. Mr.Huang was responsible for setting up the first Dunkin' Donuts store in China. Mr. Huang started his professional career in Standard Chartered Bank as a clerk, and worked his way up to Officer, Business Development & Trade Services. Mr. Huang taught Intercultural Communications at Chaminade University of Honolulu, and was adjunct faculty at Japan-American Institute of Management Science (JAIMS). Currently he is an adjunct professor at Sino-US Business School in Beijing; courses he has taught and is teaching for MBA students include Cross-Cultural Management, Principle of Marketing, Marketing Management, and Leadership & Motivation. Mr. Huang has published many articles in some top management magazines in China such as Chief Executive China, Smartfortune, Sino-foreign Management, and he has also worked as a columnist for Smartfortune, which is a top Chinese human resource magazine. In addition, Mr. Huang contributed to Thunderbird Professor Dr. Robert Moran's book - "Managing Cultural Difference" (Six Edition) China Chapter.
