Charles Crawford

Charles Crawford (CW Crawford) spent over 25 years as a competitive figure skater and several years as a coach in competitive skating. During his years in skating Charles began dabbling in photography as a hobby to relieve the stress of skating. Photography was a good match for Charles because, like skating, it was a very artistic field. Through his skating career, skating had taken him all across the United States, Canada, and even as far away as Hong Kong and Sweden. All of this changed in 2003. In 2003 Charles was diagnosed with a neurological disease called Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a disease that affects the Central Nervous System, brain, and spinal cord. The toll his MS had on his balance was no longer conducive to his career as a skating instructor, much less as a skater. After more then four months of physical therapy to learn how to not only walk unassisted but, also, how to cope with his newly found disease, Charles made the decision to pursue photography professionally and Crawford Imaging, LLC was born. Charles has now returned to coaching figure skaters, but balances it with his photography, rather than having it as his sole career focus.
